Some New Stuff Mentioned?

There seems to be some new stuff mentioned I don't remember being there before

More specifically the bold ones.

• New Items, Maps, and Tanks
• Elemental Attacks
• Organized Tournaments
• Revamped UI
• Clans
• 3D GPU Acceleration
• Single Player Campaign Mode
• Stunning Graphics

What could some of these mean, more specifically Elemental Attacks?

So yeah, have some interesting information, I don't remember being stated before.

 

I`m interested on the campaign. Anyone else? ^.^

 

Clans was mentioned and Tournaments o.o

 

Campaign, clans and tournaments is what is going to rock the world in this game!

If he makes elemental attacks like fire is strong against air and weak against water etc... it might add some strategy and coolness to the game... but since i dunno if its that what he meant... the game i played b4 ssl1 that worked with the same physics and system had something similar. (in this case he would have to make elemental tanks also)

 

It doesn't say elemental weapons, but attacks... Hm.

Could it be like earthquake, where it affects the terrain and perhaps tanks? E.g. blizzard makes the terrain slippery, heatwave raises tank temperature and will take 10 damage each turn for 3 turns, etc.

 

Yeah its prob something more simple like that... i dont think he would go so far as making different class types of tanks and weps

 

I'm confused about how the cross platform idea works. Like I know what it is, but I have never heard of a game that has done it before that I'm aware of.

 

Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U

 

Alright I'll give you credit for that one, but this game is suppose to be a cross platform between PC/Xbox/Wii /PS4/Android/Ios. It was possible for super smash bros because Nintendo owns both of those systems. What Kyle wants do, I have never seen done before.

 

Well there's Steam on phones... but I'm not sure about the rest

 

He mentioned 4 v 4 games back when he first brought up Steam and the trailer. I believe none of that info there is new.

 

For the cross-platforming, I can see PC, XBox, and PS for sure. The Wii is a no, reason is that they have backed away from violent multiplayer games. For phones I just don't see how they would be able to keep up with the speed needed for a multiplayer game.

 

I wonder how good Kyle is in animating. He better use like third party programs like adobe illustrator.

basically u need one huge bad ass server that can serve all platforms.

 

I've only seen what was in that Greenlight video. Then again, I'm not going, so I'm not following it much.

 

Nintendo is the only platform that confuses me. Game itself is something I could see on WiiU or New 3DS eshop, but legitly on an actual Nintendo console, seems unlikely, and cross-platform between anything outside Nintendo even more unlikely. :S

 

He did say he was gonna start on Steam first, so maybe it's a work in progress for the others. I'm not saying its impossible I'm just saying it hasn't been done before in that scale. Right now as far as cross platforming goes its been between the console and their respective handheld/mobile device, but you never see Xbox & PS fanboys get rekt by the PC masterace.

 

Kyle would need a group of the best computer networking to cross play n besides its possible for cod and battlefield but if anything happens to the server the whole game would be down. If it's split into only console per console play it would only effect that server for that console. And PS3 and ps4 would never do that since only ps4 required to pay for online. Xbox1 and 360 maybe not because it's... Obvious

 

Because Nintendo is too op. That's why it was able to invent the existence of Mario.

Without Nintendo you wouldn't have Sony. Nintendo revived the video game crash of 1983 <3 And I would choose Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Kid Icarus etc. over any Sony game series (Microsoft too, of course...)

 

By that definition Internet Explorer is amazing! Because its only throw him that we have Firefox or Chrome . Nintendo is awesome but can never be compared to Sony or Microsoft... its a different kind of public and entertainement.

Im still very curious to know what this elemental attacks mean... If its something normal i'll prob feel disapointed
