I think he was removed before he became active again, at that time he actually willingly requested to be DE-moded countless times to ******* before shes had the ability to do so. He was inactive, and that is not good, and he did not even want to mod, BUT, thier are reasons one is not active, and it could be personal. I however have not here when he was active so I can't give value to his moderating.

Although if he does wish to be one, we can always vote, or leave it to shes to make that decision.

Yeah, I don't want to be a moderator. I don't like the responsibility. When I first found out I was dropped from the team I was kinda bummed, but then I realized it made my forum-going experience a lot nicer. Sure, I can't read deleted posts which is always fun, but there's a lot of reasons why being a moderator just kinda sucks. It's a lot to handle, being one of the faces that govern the forum. I didn't like it, it made me pretty much hate this forum.

That is why it's important that the mods recognize that they aren't mods because of status, but because of responsibility. Like what Spiderman's uncle said that one time.

Oh. Alright. That kinda takes some of the steam I had in my argument, but the teapot is still squealing.

I do not want to anger anyone by what I say, but I have to say I am the middle of the Venn diagram. Also, most of my points have been said, but I want to reinforce them through my unbiased viewings of the evidence provided.

It is true what the prosecution has told. It does appear he tried to avoid actually answering the problem in the convo. He hasn't been the most effective, nor efficient mod, leaving his duties behind (if these statements are true, which it seems they are). He has made numerous mistakes in the past and present, and it looks like he hasn't changed, even when confronted by members. Even mods can't get a message through, and that is a problem. I can see the great man on the other side of the screen, I really can, but it just doesn't seem he is the greatest mod that has ever been picked. It probably was chosen from popularity, and his viewing of a "privilege" and not a "job" frightens me. From what the prosecution has brought forward, Google does seem to be slacking. That must change.

Now, I think we can't act too fast. If we lose Google, we are literally running dry on active mods We've lost Towel (when he was active, which he is again), TankFrank (who wasn't the most effective, but his role was strained due to inactivity), and buyingtime (we all know he just left). Even if his role is limited, it would really help out. Now, this "limited" shouldn't be a "limited", but we really need more active mods. The only solution, in my mind, anyways, is this: Reevaluate what he has done each week or so. If it seems like he is slacking on any particular week despite being active, we have given him one more chance than we should have; dispossess him of his position. If he does change, though, he should be allowed to maintain his position.

Google, the time is now. If you change now, we will be able to leave everything behind. There won't be any more arguments if you do your job. However, if you don't change, I think the prosecution will win the case.

    I hope this makes sense.

I'm a member of a forum community that's slightly larger than this one, and very much more active, and they only have 2 moderators. Well, to be fair, 1 admin and 1 mod. And the whole thing runs swimmingly. There definitely isn't a shortage of mods.

I think some of these forums actually depend on the game. Check out the Terraria forums. I literally haven't been there in months because of the literal shit that is posted there. They have 7 mods (last I checked), and they still were unable to control spambots, or even the tempers of their own users, who said this: "AMGEEEEEE IT'S BEEN ALMOST A YEEEEER GIMME THE UPDATE YERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" That is a summary of an extremely long thread filled with drama. Mods might have less power there; I can't tell. Whatever the case may be, more is better than less.

Anyways, I think that is where our mods can improve. There is some unneeded drama (which I probably boiled over even more here and in my other long post) which could be controlled better, whether it be by locking threads or deleting posts. It worked in the "Questions Answered" thread; it should work with other threads, too. The drama I am talking about typically happens in smaller, less-seen threads, and typically boils over to name calling.

They might have changed. That was what it was like two months ago, though. Also, it is nothing against the game; I was just using a situation where mods are/were needed, or more had to become active.

6 active staff for a forum that peaks at ~30 people online is a pretty good ratio.

Alright, people. After a quite long talk between @Google567 and me, Google567 decided to resign as moderator. It's sad that it ended like this. I really appreciate the work which he has done to the forums and especially that he kept us updated when Kyle was "dead". It would be great if you could stop talking about this topic on this thread now as it has been "solved".

Thank you for coming to a conclusion. Although I think he could have had one final chance, at least we have reached a finish point.

Yeah, definitely a pretty good ratio, more like extreme. In my opinion one active administrator + three moderators or two activate administrators + two moderators would be enough, and even that amount of staff members may be too hig. It may be that this is going to change in the future, we'll see.

The former moderator thing is a tag, not title. You can't change your tag unless you're an admin (most likely).

    @Cleopatra

First of all I have rarely entered your profile.
I felt like maybe a kind gesture would brighten your day, since to most people you seem like a grouch cause your very silent and unemotional around people. That is none of my business why you are like that but I had no clue your profile was private.

I haven't looked at it for a few months but as long as I've known your profile was open to anyone. If you recently made it private I didn't know cause I never looked and was never told. So when I came on as a mod I thought it was like when I did as a normal user/non mod.As a mod it doesn't tell you such things so you can go anywhere.

Sorry you got so offended by by entrance. How was I supposed to know, very few talk to you that I know and you didn't post any information regarding so.

Sure this was probably a mistake that could of happened to anyone else in my position not familiar with you but not surprising to me with all that goes around.

The words was kind but the entrence wasnt. My acc have been closed for way over a year and last time u wrote on my wall it was also locked.
I belive u knew it was locked but thats another story.

And yes i choose to be reserved and silent and only talk to a few people that i trust, thats how i am.

U havent been on my profile while ur wasnt a mod, thats not possible.
And i have the right to think what i want about you.

I dont think you the right guy for the mod job cuz i think u dont do ur job.

1 example is this this when you tried to get a lot of people spam MP.
A mod simply just dosnt do those things...

I just wanted to thank all the Moderators for doing a great job and handling yourself in a professional manner in all situations that you come across from day to day in these forums. Showing professionalism in all cases without letting your head get the best of you is what makes a great Moderator. Keep up the good work!

    With the exception of one......

To see even moderators like this, without commenting about it makes me think that you mods aren't on good foot with each other. Well, with that last mentioned mod.

    Then again, who is?
