I have my Steam library shared with someone else's Steam account. This is a function that allows both accounts to play a single copy of a game from different accounts. I wanted to see what would happen if I launched ShellShock Live from the account that I was sharing my games with, and it opens a fresh level 1 ShellShock Live account. I thought that was interesting. I also saw an eagle today. It was flying around in circles. ...Huh.
Implying one is lying by questioning the validity of their statement then pulling an "i dont care lol" card when he's able to prove his statement seems rather flip-floppy. But then again, any other course of action would have made you seem a bit silly.
Only thing I'm going to say here is that I think these two posts are not very necessary. I wouldn't blame people if they get mad at these. Let's not. Topic isn't worth arguing over anyways.
Stay in the lines, scrubs. Or I will drop the hammer ~ kaboom~... and remember.. I love y'all♥ I really do ♥ P.S .. I'm really curious about the OP, does it mean I can play one copy of the game on two accounts ?!
You're right. I did press the issue anyway when I could've easily said nothing . It's possible. But it's a bit finicky the way I did it.
Mainly requesting permission to play the game from my main account, then enabling steam guard is a bit of a hassle. Everything works fine after that.
@913 Haven't you been playing SSL this way since forever? I remembered just now that a friend and you did this so you could play it. Did you do this back then and now own the game? On a side note are you saying while sharing game libraries we get level 1's? Whose account are they on to get a fresh one instead of the person that is sharing?
Hello everyone, it's has been at least 1 month since I've been here . Anyway, yes I have been sharing the game with "bob8wat" every time he goes on it that would mean that I can't play it and it would say that in a message. I never bought the game yet. If i did bought the game idk if it would erase the game memory of bobs ssl and I would have to start over ? When we share the game we both have different levels ; i'm level 39 and he's like level 20. Idk, I'm really confused also.
Yeah; if you bought the game yourself, you'd start with a Level 1 unless you could somehow transfer the data. I'm not sure how you could do that transfer in a dual account, though I am pretty sure it is possible.
Actually, if you've been playing it on your account using account sharing, any progress would be locked to that account. If you were to buy a copy it would still allow you to access your old progress. (At least this has been the situation for many games I've borrowed from someone's Steam library to test out before buying.)
