With the onslaught of new players from the Youtube community (not one I'm very fond of), the high leveled players are having trouble finding and enjoying a good game. Many new players have no idea they can change the "any" level difference. As of right now, there's 2 groups of players within the game, the old experienced early testers, and the new YouTube community.

Is there perhaps some way, either via a tutorial or somehow letting high players restart their progress with some sort of reward? That's probably not a very good idea, but the constant low levels are kind of... messing with the game flow.

It's a good subject to talk about.

I agree that the new "youtube community" is monopolizing the games (to a certain point) by setting the Level Difference game option. They are entitled to do that but the fact that they are the majority now, I do see that they are putting the SSLS Vets in somewhat of a pickle trying to find a game. I don't think there is any answer to improve the situation. But, I do know that there is no way I would ever restart my progress just to be on their level. No reward would be fitting enough for the countless hours and thousands of games I've had to endure to achieve my Level 100 status. Sadly, I think it's just something that we will have to adjust to until they achieve their own higher level.

The player count over doubled since yesterday

Since they're new, one possibility is that they don't even know it's on or what the setting does since it's always on by default. It's just a little setting off to the side they probably won't notice right away. And the game does nothing to alert them to the situation. It's quite annoying when you see someone make a game and you can't join because they have a level difference set and you have almost no way of communicating to them. So they just sit there wondering why not many people are joining. Well, at least that's how it was before the playerbase spike. Now a lot of players closer to their levels do join and they don't know there are some high levels off to the corner looking for someone to dance with.

That said, I respect those who are actually choosing to set a difference because they don't want to play with anyone too high lvl for them spoiling the party. When I play with low levels, I try to play as nice as I can, trying to distribute the hp evenly among everyone. Even if that means I'll miss a lot of shots or get killed.

Of course, they won't know that. And not everyone plays the way I do. Unfortunately, they don't see the person operating the computer, they only see the level of your tank.

Personally it's not that hard for me to find a game. I know a lot of my friends invite me while I'm busy with homework or something.

Some of them are aware of that but deliberately keep it to 20 rather than any. We can enjoy the game later or play with friends. High levels have had enough pleasure out of this game as of now. Right now, let the new faces enjoy the most out of this game while they still can before Kyle comes and does something.

I agree. Remember, the playerbase has increased by 1000 in a span of a week. That's 1000-~33 new levels to vets. New levels have never really had the chance to have fun in this game. They deserve it now. Later, you'll be able to join they're games when they are level 55 or something and destroy them then. You can be patient for a month or two. Or five. Who knows. Besides, most of these people won't be as active when these streamers and YouTubers move to another game. Most people will move onto that one, and it repeats. I'm not saying we'll lose everyone, but the 1000 per day won't stick. Let them have their fun for the next two weeks before the number plummets to 500 or 300 or something like that. The vets' time will come later.

Imagine, we played Shellshock Live before it was cool....

It does sound like Kchamp is making a tutorial for the new people though since he was randomly talking in the game I was in which sounded like tutorial instructions of some sort. I hope he wasn't recording the games, because I was just messing around the whole time since the only real person I was going against was Kchamp. We could lead by example too if we are able to join up on these games, just don't go on a slaughtering spree and give them a chance.
