Hello everybody! My name is Mena. I am a lover of books, music and some sports. The genre of crime and fantasy are where my interests lie for books. As for music, I like listening to some pop, some classical and especially house music. In my free time, I prefer to play a game of badminton, go for a swim at the leisure centre or jog in the woods close to my home. Though with my limited free time during exam period, it will be a while before I can finally relax! That's almost everything about me in a nutshell. I hope to know most, if not all of you during my time here! Also, I am relatively new to SSL2 (Sorry! Can't afford SSL Steam ) so maybe I can learn a trick a two, if anybody is willing to teach beginners
Welcome to our forum @Mena! Glad to have you here, enjoy your stay here, feel free to share ideas, opinions etc! I also have a copy of the Steam version if you'd be interested in it. Just let me know.
Welcome to the forum Mena. You seem like a very cool person from your detailed about me above. Very nice to have you here an I would also buy you s copy of SSL if you wanted.

I only have the first 4 books, but I finally joined local library so I may find the rest meow Any literary recommendations? I like the same sort of books but I lean a lot more heavily towards fantasy :3 And this is a place peoples should feel at ease :')
Well, I don't believe I have come across many books that are of the genre fantasy and crime together. I shall simply post a list of some books that I have read and enjoyed over the years, since our tastes seem to have something in common. Maze Runner Series - The film is average but the books never fail to impress me. It is a real page-turner and really catches hold of my attention as I lose track of time reading through the books. Though I am not finished the series yet, I highly recommend you take a look at it Angels & Demons/The Lost Symbol/The Da Vinci Code - Three books by Dan Brown, three times I find myself loving his books. While his books are a blend of history, crime and fiction, they certainly have left their impressions on me. You will probably have heard of Dan Brown or read some of his books, but definitely check them out if you haven't Gone Series - This is catered more towards young adults like the Maze Runner series. It is of the fantasy genre and certainly has a unique and interesting plot to it. I'll be honest here, the first and second books were breathtakers. It became kinda "meh" towards the end of the series. A great series nonetheless if you are interested in mutated kids who are trapped in a dome and forced to survive against dark forces.
That is true ;-; I loved the maze runner film :3 I have read the da vinci code and seen the movie and i have seen the angels & demons movie. I haven't heard of the gone series though, may look it up ^_^
It appears as though I am correct! Our tastes do appear similar. I am sure you will love the Gone Series by Michael Grant
Indeed they do ^.^ I shall start them if I can find them when I finish reading Alice in wonderland :3
I admire you I took a break from reading because of exams and once you stop, you have to start over again :/ At least for me
Us cats are admirable creatures :'3 But I never studied a day in my educational life and I'm in 3rd year of college/uni so I just read, play games and music ^.^
Wow. Wish I could get away with that. Though knowing me, I could never set foot into the exam hall without knowing the required material to a decent level of understanding
I think I have the intellectual equivalent to muscle memory xD there are exams I have gone to with no clue of what to even expect but then as soon as I see the questions everything just floods back, then straight after the exam I struggle to even remember any of the questions xD
I think the same could be said about me...partially at least. I practise questions repeatedly until it becomes second nature. Once I finish the exam, I put everything behind me and focus on the next one. It saves a lot of time and worry
Twice I did exams not knowing what one I'm going to and once I did one on no sleep cause I was watching naruto :3 But exams are a load of poop xD
Yes, I understand. Though they are arguably the shortest and safest way into the world of work, they are not for everybody. I don't think I have any other talent that would guarantee me a good job in the future. Education will be my way forward
I hate - hate, not dislike - books and I suck at English literature. Information is too cluttered due to the immense amount of descriptions/literacy devices used and often lacks emphasis in scenes that need a lot of emphasis because words aren't visual. The stories are almost always bland and boring too. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION PLEASE DON'T HURT ME Also welcome.
