What is it like to die? What do you see and is it peaceful? Oh one more thing, I am not a sucide patient.
You'd have to die yourself, to answer that question. The only people who would know are people who died, so unless you can talk to ghosts, or corpse, no one would know. My guess would be it would feel like an endless sleep, after feeling the physical infliction on your body, that lead you to your death.
Not everything is logical. For every one thing that's logical, there's another that isn't. Black with the white. Dark with the light. Positive with the negative. Electrons with protons. Get what I'm saying? There's always an equal, and opposite side. Think about this, and relate to everything that has happened. Like people who got bullied when they were little, and got their lunch money stolen. Then, when they grow up, they get back their cash, in an honest way, like working at Subway and taking their lunch money. Seems a bit far-fetched, but think about it.
Death, it's something different to every one. It's an abstract term, with many aspects. No one knows, and no one alive will know.
To some cultures, you live only once. To others, you don't. There's this strange, and true, story I read about a research researching the term of "Reincarnation". It said once, he brought a boy to the mother of his past life, and in his past life, he died of a raging inferno. When he met his mother from the past life, he said, "Did you finish the sweater you knitted for me?". His mother in his past life knitted a sweater for the boy, after he died. So, if you ask me, it may be different for each person, both scientifically and religiously. Also, read this, from "The Memories Begin", and below. Honestly, you can see why I've turned to philosophy at times.

I'm Roman Catholic, but I do sometimes wonder if there really is something that is after death. Heaven and hell, ok. Maybe. Purgatory. What the heck is that? I see no Purgatory in the Bible. Anyways. In regards to ACTUAL death... Death, to me, is quite simple. What do you think other living creatures experience when they die? Though we have a soul, it can't really be that different. Our heart stops beating, our brain dies, and that's that. Nothing so fancy to it. If your heart stops, then, most likely, there will be very little pain associated with it, since the brain would have been dead already, and therefore, you can't register pain.
Ah. I see. To me, what happens after death is heaven or hell. Heaven is the good guys, Hell, vice versa. I like to believe that, in spite of the one big question in the back of my head that no one has ever been able to counter. Though, it might be off-topic so I won't post it here.

I don't get how someone can be either good or evil, heaven or hell, unlimited enlightenment or horrible pain. I don't think many people are strictly good or evil. Everyone has done wrong in thier life.
Haw. What do those guys"researchers/scientists" know about what happens after death? Have they experienced it? Have they caused it? If not, then that's just their opinion, and I have no reason to trust them. Though, admittedly, it is your idea, so you can choose to influenced by whomever you wish, and I respect that.
@TheOnlyGod It's really fuzzy, I agree. The best explanation to that is that God is fair, and will judge accordingly. And, Purgatory is, apparently, the in-between.
There's Evil, Neutral, and Good. Shades of grey. Just one solid use of one of these words cannot describe someone's status of morale, in detail.
