So now that we've had a flood of mods for some time now, it'd be nice to have some feedback on how we're doing. Compliment us, complain about us, give us constructive criticism, ask us questions, whatever. This is the place to do it. Anything you want us to know, anything you want to know, anything you want everybody else to know, just post it here.

If it's something a less general such as a single warning directed at yourself just send one of us a PM.

Try refraining from drama as much as you can.

Use your own judgement for some cases instead of following the rules to the extreme letter. Also, @kChamp why bother making a poll for who should be mods, when you decided to make them all mods, which is clearly too many. 4-5 mods would have been fine. [IMG]

I think when Moderators were picked there should have been more effort into it. It should of been more resume like, and it should of been who has the most experience with moderating and running things. Like Agent said, it was more of a thread of the more popular people on the forum and then they were all just picked to be mods. Not to be rude or anything, but I don't think everyone who was picked has the experience to be mods. I trust who I picked and I stand by them.

With all due respect, the staff should give at least a day for a thread to stay until going to its doom as in shouldn't be that strict; be like the police do it when is the really at the right time, call in reinforcements when needed, when not sure what to do talk to the most experience staff (ie shessy tog), reinforce the rules less that should not bring the most trouble (ie would a police rather do some other important things or go after a person riding a bicycle without helmet)

This thread should stay open unless it gets out of hand. Honestly, some of the mods shouldn't have been moderators, and we just plainly have too many of them.

I know theres too many mods. I asked for some help to kChamp when I was picked. I gave him a list and though he'd choose 1 or 2 from it, not all and then popular people as well. Anyways, its over and done with so we just have to do the best with what happened. We should be fortunate that pretty much all the mods have agreed to be open to any questions anyone has and we try to do our best to give you info on anything you want to know if we know anything about it. Thats pretty much what I wanted in a group of mods and when I was picked was going to do my best.

I think there are so many mods that most of them have nothing to do except bear title because one or two of them have already taken care of a matter. There may be more behind the scenes stuff that I'm not aware of, but for the most part, I just see most mods hanging out in the forums. But whatever, it really doesn't bother me. Does each mod have a particular responsibility or is it a free for all to just close threads? I'm still not understanding why there are so many - especially when it's been dead around here for the past month.

2 new moderators would've been enough, which will be TankFrank and Tap Water.
Now the spam issues are solved, let's cut down the rope until it's enough the length. Honestly, 10+ mods are way too much for this little tiny forum that barely anyone knows.

    Hmm.... Nope!

It's basically first come first serve with the moderation activities. I believe Tap Water, Google567, xvio, and TankFrank are able to warn and sticky threads, but other than that.. the rest of us just edit/delete bad comments, delete/lock certain threads, and ban spambot accounts. There's no guidance for all the buttons either, just gotta ask other mods and self-learn.

I guess it's nice having a lot of Mods/Admins, but I don't see the need for this many personally. It is nice being able to quickly look at a thread, see a bad post, and delete it right there. But honestly, even having 8 Mods/Admins- kChamp, **********, TheOnlyGod, Towel, Google567, TankFrank, Tap Water, and xvio- would have been enough for that. It's so easy to click on the "Report Menu" button, go to the comment, and decide if it needs to be deleted anyways. As it is right now, it's a feeding frenzy of piranha's trying to click the "Reports Menu" the fastest to actually do Moderator activities.

@Mr Bach, Our main reason for being moderators was to keep the forum spam free of bots. But we are also doing things that people may or may not notice like tidying up the forums with those irrelevant threads or if someone has requested for a cleanup of post's on their threads we are there to serve them whenever they need us to do so. We are also reviewing others things that may have been needed to take care of but was never actually addressed. Like looking for peoples alternate accounts on forum, that seemed to be a big problem in the past with people constantly causing an uproar with them so we will usually work together to solve things like that and hope to prevent it from happening again and if it does to be able to solve it quickly and figure out if the culprit was someone who already is on the forum. The amount of mods seems a lot yes, but because spam bots seem to be active during the hours of when most of the moderators are asleep we kind of take shifts and let those moderators have a rest while the rest of us look after the forums some of the moderators may need to be inactive for a bit so that's where we can kind of be an extra layer of protection over the forum :).

You are welcome Mr Bach, if you have any other questions feel free to ask whenever and if it's something more deep you may private message me or any of the other moderators/admins whenever you wish. We will always do our best to give a response asap :).

I like how you guys go full out censorship and delete something if its bad, but why not also put a public warning tag on that one post. I mean, if it was serious with a quadrillion curses, I could see why you would delete it, but if it was a double post or dumb bump, why not put a public warning tag on the not-good-yet-not-that-bad posts?

@Agent60, Yes that's true a little bit of swearing has never hurt anyone. But personally i know there is quite a few people here who are a little too young to be introduced to that type of language at such a young age, but if this is what the community wants i will refrain from deleting or editing swear post's unless it becomes a problem.

For more clarification, the spam problem not solved, 10-15 spam bot register everyday, and when they do it be around 3-7 Am in USA (which most of the staff from), only 1 or 2 moderators be online at this time to permanent delete the thread they make and ban them. so sometimes it might seems crowded at the online staff members area, but that's not always the case.
    ---------------------------------------------------------

Since i can't give warnings, i just merge what needed to be merged, edit "bad language if existed" and remove post if it's necessary.
So basically i fix other people mistakes since there is no way to punish them ( even with warnings ), i find it more effective.

I'd rather have examples of what not to do rather then just deleting the content deemed unworthy. Having the mistake branded publicly rather then just deleting it would be a better incentive for them to not do it again, eh?

I see what you mean. Live and learn is the key. Thank you for your criticism anymore would be nice i rather hear criticism and listen to what I'm doing wrong to better service the forumer's rather than listen to compliments. :)

They not bad words, they clearly insults tho, it's a flaming post, the other person most likely will reply at it as soon as he see it, so why not avoiding all that and make the post a bit nicer ?

the more mods the better, especially with the forums growing. Why would people complain about there being too many mods when not 3 months ago people were begging for mods.
