I just noticed some updates in the game for substitution tanks that are a good improvement. 1) you now get to keep control of your weapon selection when it is not the sub tank's turn. This was really nice in game to be able to plan ahead as normal! Though the minor disadvantage is that you don't know who controls the sub tank until the sub tank's turn comes up. 2) while the actual power and angle in the aiming circle still default to the last shot made, the "memory" shot in the aiming circle shows you the last shot made by that tank, which means you can now see what the last shot made by your tank or the sub tank was.
I still don't understand the concept behind how you are only allowed to use the starter weapons for the sub tank. Isn't the point of the ability to use the sub tank to be that when that teammate leaves, you get their tank so the match can still stay fair? With that said I think the following additions to sub tank control should be allowed: Ability to decide which teammate gets the sub tank. If there's a Prestige 5, level 40 on the team and a level 14, guess who's going to be the more efficient substitution? And guess which one usually gets the sub tank and causes us the game? At least hand it to the higher level. Ability to use the person that left's weapons. Like seriously, if not that then at LEAST the weapons they had unlocked. We get to use their tank's stats, right? What's the point of a sub tank if all it does is shoot Rains, Flames, Shots, Twinklers, and other blatantly useless weapons? Ability to grab X2s. I can understand the crates not being able to be grabbed, but X2s? Why even have them be able to pop up on the sub tank's turn if the sub tank can't hit them? I mean come on, this is just lazy coding, Kyle. Ability to choose from the arsenal of weapons from the sub tank. Again, what's the point of it if I can't choose the weapon from its arsenal? 90% of the time, these sub tanks are a useless, prolonging detriment to the game rather than being helpful. If there's something I am missing here, and reasons as to why things like these have not been added, then please inform me, because all I see here is lazy coding and inability to understand proper substitution. When a substitute for a basketball game goes in to play, they're not limited to just running the court, y'know.
Maybe, and this is a suggestion Kyle will never put in his head, but MAYBE have half XP also. That way they aren't just worthless.
I think half XP is a must. I mean, who farms XP in a 3V3 game? Just in case somebody tells me that this can be exploited...
See, get a 3v3 with all sub tanks, that would just be the ultimate in life wasting everything. I'm pretty sure no one, not even me, would do that.
I don't come here on the forum to bash a soul for I don't want to cause any trouble and believe that should be saved for the battlefield. However, I will say that he's a guy who believes a literal server full of alts, farming with them all in a hole, is an effective way to garner XP in a short amount of time. Needless to say, that's unnecessary and definitely one of the slowest methods to XP gain.
I just noticed that this apparently doesn't apply if the person quits after dying lol. Or... the fix was removed, not sure. Ok, nope this "fix" appears to be gone.
