Probably a lot of people know it, but here it is just in case for someone who doesn't: In order to get perfect accuracy with lightstrike in games without wind: 1. click anywhere inside your aiming circle and hold the mouse button 2. drag your mouse to the exact spot you want to hit while holding your mouse button 3. press fire
Here's a better one. Get in the same position (distance from bumper and height) as your target on the map and aim for the middle of the roof
In all honesty, I actually have something legitimate to contribute to the thread here this time. One of the "pro" tricks that I'm sure will be used more than just to show off. This basically is a trick for those that want to be a cocky player, but can be used to hit tough shots as well. It's what I like to call the "Reverse Corner" trick. The concept is simple. Wanna shoot right? Fire left. Wanna shoot left? Fire right. Sounds easy, but it's easier said than done. Let me explain. Using the corners of the map, you can actually angle a shot quite well with a bit of practice with LightStrike. If you aim directly for the center of one of the corners, LightStrike will bounce right off and hit you dead-on. If you shoot a little bit towards the left though, LightStrike will have a bit of room to change trajectory while going for the right side of the corner, and thus will end up hitting the area right of you. Same method goes for right-to-left. Demonstrations: Left-to-Right Right-to-Left See how this works? If you get good enough with it, you can actually use this method to hit tricky one-of-a-kind shots that will baffle the minds of your opponents. The red tank seems pretty difficult to hit, right? Not with this method! Neat, huh? If you have Weapon Pack 3, try your luck in the firing range and practice with it for a bit. The hardest part is when you realize that you only have one chance with it in a real match (provided you only get one LightStrike) so you really have to hunker down and learn how this works. Hope that helps some people.
