So instead of creating a bunch of separate threads on the suggestion forum, I am making a big collection of my ideas (which can also be found on Google Docs named "Shellshock Live 2 Idea Comp. fin) SINCE STEAM UPDATE * X = Suggestion I had for SSL2 that simply does not fit or I do not approve of anymore, I am not deleting them though, just so you can see ideas I had before. Other Game Modes: Sanctuary - Each team has a fortress on their side of the map, the teams compete to destroy each other's base. Getting kills rewards XP bonuses and acts as defensive. There is respawning. Options: Base Health, Player Health, Respawning Bonuses: Castle Crusher (Destroy the Enemy Sanctuary) - 15 XP Capture the Flag - Capture the other team's flag and return it to your flag, it's as simple as that. Whoever captures the flag first wins. Stay back and defend your flag, or if you have the fuel, go on the offensive. Options: Respawning, Player Health, Max Turn Limit Bonuses: Capture (Capture the Flag) - 15 XP, Rejection (Kill the flag carrier) - 5 XP King of the Hill - A glowing beam randomly appears every 5 turns, claim that area for as long as you can. Every turn that you are inside the beam, your team earns 10 points. If both teams are in there, each team gets 5 points. There is always respawn. Options: Amount of Turns, Player Health. Bonuses: Hardpoint (Capture a zone) - 1 XP, Mindreader (Capture a zone on the first turn) -5 XP Killstreak - All tanks start with 50 and only 50 HP (armor can only be found in crates) every time you kill someone you get 10 points, and there is respawning (you respawn where you started the game) The more kills you earn in a row, the more points you get for your team (2 killstreak = 20 points, 3 killstreak = 30 points, etc) Options: Amount of turns Bonuses: 1,2,3... Killstreak ! (Achieve kills in a row) - 1,2,3... XP Copycat - An All-shot only game type, every round each person receives the same weapon (which is entirely random). A point game mode. Options: Amount of turns Bonuses: N/A Free-Style - Just to have fun, it's an online multi-player firing range. There are no winners, and no XP, weapon XP, or gears are awarded. X Total War - A normal Deathmatch game where there is no armor, no crates, you can't use items, lowest traction, and no rebound wall. For hardcore players only, winners get double XP. More Bonuses: Sharp Shooting (5 XP) - Don't miss any shot Ace (5 XP) - Shoot over 1000 damage alone Indecisive (5 XP) - Pick up 5 or more item crates Obliteration (2 XP) - Have double your opponents score (Points) Beginners Luck (5 XP) - Do 150 or more damage on the first turn Going Green (10 XP) - Don't move at all (Excluding Pre-game movement) Getting Around (10 XP) - Move every turn and anti-bonuses to prevent trolling: Suicidal (-10 XP) - Do more damage to yourself than enemies 5 times Misfire (-20 XP) - Do -200 or more points Least Valuable (-10 XP) - Deal more damage to teammates than enemies 5 times New Item Crates: Fuel Box - Gives you an extra 100 fuel you keep until used, this box is common Luck: Chance of giving more fuel in the box. X Double Damage Box (DD Box) - The next shot you use will do double damage, this box is rare Selection Box - When grabbed, 5 weapons are listed and you can pick the one you want, this box is uncommon Luck: Higher chance of picking more than 1 item, up to 3 from crate. X Time Box - You get more time to move and shoot your next turn, this box is uncommon Winged Crate - Like the hover-crate but this one moves in a pattern in the sky and typically has better loot, this box is rare Luck: Increases amount of loot found. Heavy Crate - A crate that falls from the sky to the ground and has to be broken from a weapon and typically has better loot, this box is rare Luck: Higher chance of box containing gears with items. Sub-Crate - A box that drills underground, you can only get it by shooting it underground, this box is common Luck: Increases amount of loot found. Extra Game Options: Friendly Fire (200 Gears) - The option to turn on and off friendly fire (x .8 XP) Indestructible (200 Gears) - The option to turn on and off damage to the map (x .8 XP) Randomize (300 Gears) - When on, every earthquake will generate a different map (x 1.2 XP) Indoor (200 Gears) - When on, there are rebound walls surrounding the map (x 1.0 XP)
Well, some of the game modes would just be based on fuel and I don't think that would be very fair/fun. Also there is already a bonus equivalent to your Obliteration Bonus. It is called Domination. As for your Going green bonus, this would be very annoying having players not move just because they want a bonus. As for the Misfire and Suicidal bonuses, these are just horrible ideas (I don't think I need to explain why). Other than those I think some of your suggestions might be nice to have implemented.
Yeah I put the domination bonus in consideration when I wrote it, that's why getting obliteration adds 2 XP just as a small bonus. I see what you're saying with the gamemodes, maybe there would be a way around it, because I would love to see some new gamemodes. As for the Misfire and Suicidal, they wouldn't really be bonuses more of anti-bonuses because you lose XP if you get them, it's more of a sign that says "Don't shoot your teammates" and also thanks for your feedback
Yes, but if everyone has the same fuel then it would be a tie game. Maybe you could gain fuel/take away fuel from others for your amount of damage.

For the 'Free-Style', maybe players can just go to their FR, and then invite friends. Then their friends, can invite their friends...Then...Yeah...
That would be cool, I've always wanted to see a multiplayer firing range since SSL1, I just think it would be cool if you don't really feel like playing, or if you will be AFK a lot.
