Nobody likes shields and if somebody uses them he usually get kicked next round. Because of this shields should be replace with: Show enemy weapons You select this item and then you click on one enemy tank. Then your hole team can see his weapons (list of icons appear above enemy tank and weapon are also listed in team chat). This can be done any time and also if you are already dead. Especially at end game this can give your team a big advantage. But the biggest advantage of course is that we get rid of the annoying shields.
There's so much social pressure against shields. You can almost never use them without getting called out... "Pfft, noob. Shields are for noobs." The show enemy weapons idea has some merits I think. However, it could lead to things like "Yep, we're dead." or "Oh hey, let's all team on that guy since he's got the best weapons." Maybe instead of replacing an item we could simply just give the option to turn on and off specific items. I believe I suggested this a long time ago already. You can turn off shields and leave the rest of the items on so people can still overcome annoyingly hard maps without using shields to delay the inevitable.

It's not like people should care if somebody call's you a noob It's is, if you buy 500 with them and use them almost every round, but other wise it's a strategic asset... Either way I do not agree with this, sorry.
I dont get your point. When someone uses shield it just give the oponent 2 options: 1 vs 1: unless u have quake, u shoot out. No point/damage Team: u force the enemy to shoot your teammates. Using shield doesnt help at all, doesnt matter the point of view. _________________________________ Dont like the idea of people being able to see enemies weps... Not that it makes any differece, but it would show them the stratagy you got. Not cool. And just unfair. In my opinion, so bad as shield, sorry. .
