But anyways as you can see, this game went on for a while. These two, djeis and Aperturist are remarkable. They use this equation to calculate their shots and it essentially gives them this mental aimbot. Albeit they have to use this calculator to do it. But it still requires a lot more thought compared to using a ruler or anything like that. You need this calculus and trig knowhow to make any use of the calculator. I'm sure they could explain it better than I could. It might seem like cheating to you but I found it fascinating. The method is obviously more reliable and consistent than using the arcing method. I asked them about wind and they said it was possible but didn't have it "set up". The downside I noticed is that it's quite slow, and this was literally the only thing I could rely on against these two. The speed at which you can do the equation also seems to depend on how well you've mastered the method. They relied on their equation, I relied on my raw skill and luck. The only times I could manage to beat them was by having time get them before they could get a proper shot shot, usually a very difficult one. Indeed, in the screenshot above that's as long as the game got. Djeis missed that far hoverball shot by a few pixels because he didn't have enough time. However you take it, these two are awesome to play with and have nice personalities, not to mention smart.

 

I remember having the idea of making an equation, but also having the addition of wind as a factor because I know the game is just a simple graph filled with thousands upon thousands of parabolas and shifted exponential equations withe the cute lil wind... Never found the dedication to actually do it because honestly I find it so much more fun just shooting and missing very rarely because, well, at some point you just get to know the game as if the equation is working in your head, but you just don't know it. Also only posting this because I knew something was up with that Aperturist guy He's in ATR and he's a very nice guy, but his shot was just a little too perfect. I wouldn't consider it cheating, but just using the beauty of mathematics to their best ability. You gotta admit, math is quite fascinating

 

That's it basically. Amazing how the human mind can calculate things like that without having to know fancy equations. Very intuitive

 

There are quite a few deadshots around, kinda surprised how many, that just don't miss no matter what weapon they use (random spreading trajectory weaps like guppies/moons etc are trolly) unless they go for a portal/bumper trickshot and miscalculate. For example, I haven't put in the time to master Ram, these people throw it in the air across the map and hit target perfectly on turn 20+, it's fascinating.
Even losing these matches they're still amazing to watch. (Then there's the random other people in match that died turn 3 and are like "just end it alreadyyyy" *rq* )

And then host kickec me out apparently thinking it must have been me. Yay.

 

Yep, you can actually enter this text into the chat and it will do that. Me and my friends were playing around with this earlier for fun. Sorry the host kicked you though. People are quick to make assumptions sometimes.

This screenshot shows 67 but we actually went up to turn 69 (What a delightful number). You'll just have to take my word for it. I ended up screwing the whole thing up due to the crappy hitbox of Mega Rainbow.

 

Monkey was telling me as I was talking to him it was wild. I didnt know it would be this long though since you guys were only on turn 14 then lol.
