Every time I play Shellshocked, there's at least 1 person continuously spamming the chat with links to some website! The main one I keep seeing is some website with "sidebook" in the link. I don't remember the full link and it would be best not to accidentally advertise it myself.

From the same person spamming those sidebook links, I also got this:
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=741476288
A threat to subscribe to his channel, or I will be falsely reported! Figures.

Why is there no spam block feature?

It's not just the lobby. It's also in-game.

And "turn off the lobby chat" is a terrible answer to this, I need chat to cooperate with the team.

sidemenbook.co.uk is a website doing something for ShellShock Live, I think. People are also spamming it all over SSL1 and 2.
Also, the Lobby Chat is the one on the left side of your screen while you are viewing the game list. Game Chat is the in-game chat.

About that idiot, I would have just said, "Then report me mother ******." The Steam mods would not just ban you because somebody reported you. They would ask you, and you would give them that screenshot.

I was talking about lobby chat, if you dont want a person spamming you mute them... hover over their tank and click the volume icon...

Okay that is good to know. I always err on the side of caution, because some things are so automated that you're just instantly banned without any warning or defense against it (Youtube), and you don't know til it's too late.

Also, are ShellShock moderators allowed to go to the websites being advertised and try to take them down? Or at least the advertisers? For instance, the person who I screenshotted claimed it was his own channel he was advertising, and threatened me, which might be enough evidence?

The moderators on this forum only have power on this forums, and only this forum. Technically kChamp could add them as mods for the discussion boards for SSL on Steam, but I don't think he's going to do that......
And he hasn't made an in-game moderation system for SSL yet either.

And yeah, Steam's only automated banning system is the VAC security. Which gets annoying if you have Cheat Engine installed, but SSL isn't VAC secured, I believe.
