That will use a lot of resources. Its allready possible to spectate ur friends games and it lags like hell. So i guess spectate in tournaments will not happend
I made a suggestion long ago to have a spectate option. I don't see how hard it is to hop onto a game in progress and watch it. Why would it be any laggier than it would be while just playing a normal game? I'm sure Kyle has thought of it, but maybe there's some other complications I don't know about. If not spectate, add a consolation match option where the losers can compete with each other whilst the winning players continue. That way the losers don't have to either sit there and wait, or just leave.
Try to spectate a friends game urself Taco. It will lag. Edit : And its not my net that makes it lag, i dont know why it lags but i know it does.
Well that's different, I think you're talking about Steam broadcast but of course that's going to lag hella more than simply spectating others in-game yourself, which is more convenient if you're waiting for a friend's match to end. I have other games where spectating is an option and there is barely any difference when it comes to performance.
Broadcasting means you're streaming, which means you are constantly downloading data real-time, which also means you need a decent internet to keep the stream consistent. On the other hand, all you're doing in spectating is joining the servers, sit there and watch. You don't need to go through all that real-time downloading crap, it would literally be like watching a game after you died in deathmatch.
Honestly should be a normal option in nearly all multiplayer games by this generation. Such a basic element that has no real reason not to be implemented in most games like this.
Everything i am about to say about the game is assumption I am guessing that Kchamp set it to spawn you in with a specified amount of health (infinity Being for marksman and points). So them game would then have to create a no playername, no particle invisible entity (tank) dead. Or a something new entirely
