The other day i was thinking about an SSl league. 16 Team of 2 or more players compete for top 4 places witch would lead to an SSL league of champions(but . we would play our matches every week and the winners would get 3 points. Duration of it would be maybe 2+ months with 10+ fixtures. The league winner would get some prize. If this doesn't come to life, we should have a tournament similar to the football or basketball world or European championships. 16 teams with 2 or more players divided into 4 groups with 4 teams. it would consist of group stage, top 8, top 4 and top 2. winners would also get prize. EDIT: If it receives positive votes, i will organize tournament first. There will be 3 matches in group stage for each team in each group, teams will fight each other, top 2 teams from each group will go trough and will play in top 8 phase consisting of 2 groups with 4 teams. top 2 from those 2 groups would go trough and will play in top 4 phase also know as semifinals. the winners of semifinals would play in finals. something like this for group stage and top 8 stage, only ours will have 4 teams. http://gfx.esl.eu/media/de/news/2012/iem/iem_sg_sc2_groups_large.jpg The question is: do you want it?
I say take a shot at it. I'm sure there will be some support and don't be afraid just to go for it. Odds are it might work.
It would be awesome The structure could be arranged among levels: 0-10, 11-20..., and prestige 1, 2, ..... Just shooting an idea
