Completely understandable where you're coming from, but it's different strokes for different folks.

Here in America, it's all about speed in a straight line and loud, oversized/undersized carriages. "Who can build the car with the best performance, least weight and most power in order to fly like a rocket down a straightaway?" is essentially the big question that companies look to answer here.

Meanwhile in Europe it's much more about what cars can do in corners, short-length acceleration, and luxurious design all wrapped into one. There, the question is much more along the lines of "Who can build the car with the best look, least sacrificed and most convenience in order to satisfy the customer in every aspect?"

This is why in NASCAR, you'll see most tracks are very straight or have loose curves and the cars are tuned extensively for speed and power, while in Formula 1, the tracks are very twisting and tricky and the cars are built for mastering cornering and control.

tl;dr: America overdoes everything because money.

I'm actually into old school muscle cars. One in particular is the 1972 Corvette

Lamborghini Aventador is pretty nice... I could take one of those for sure.
