Anyone else had this problem?

A friend of mine has had a problem with the new update. When he plays, he gets the achievements for the collected gears and the xp, however, the new weapon doesn't unlock, and although the achievements register on his steam account, they don't seem to register on the game itself. So the next time he plays, his xp is back down, and he gets the achievements again, still without unlocking the new wep. Has this happened to anyone else? He's thinking he might need to reinstall ssl, but if he does that, will he lose his progress? His level is in the 80s, so obviously he doesn't want to have to start all over again. Can anyone help with this?

 

he can reinstall np, the save is on steam itself and not on his PC. Other then that ask Kyle

I"m sorry I should have updated. Problem seems to be fixed now. Caused some anxiety, but in the end there was no need to reinstall. It all worked out. So if you're still having the problem JZ, just hang in there, should sort itself out.

I hope your achievements are sorted now Nightwing, I'm afraid I can't offer any technical advice - as I said earlier, it just fixed itself eventually. So I guess wait, and don't panic

 

I've killed way over 2500 tanks and got way over 2500 gear idk why it's being like that piro.

 

Some achievements you have to start from scratch. You would have to collect the amount of gears over again since the update. My suggestion: Look at the progress bar. If it doesn't move forwards, then there is an issue. Other than that, it's the game not realizing you've done it before.

 

The gear achivments work on past history tho.
