I got the idea when playing the 'hill-in-the-middle' map. You know the one. Kinda looks like a pe-- *ahem* , anyways.. What I want to know, have any of you ever tried to jetpack unto a barrier? And if you have, what happens when you do? Do you get an extra bounce? Do you go through the barrier? If you do get some extra propelling motion, it can be greatly used tactically. ^_^
Oh well, I think I misunderstood. Nothing really happens between a tank and a shielded tank if you meant it this way.
Let me rephrase it. Every now and again a random purple reflective shield pops up on the battlefield. If you shoot it, your shot will be bounced away (just like with the side walls). The question was, what would happen if you use jetpack to jump on a reflective barrier?
fuck my reading skills Nothing happens, the tank just goes through. I wasted 1 jetpack for nothing :/
For future reference guys, that reflective shield is officially called a "bumper" as provided by the update synopsis. Think pinball. Also, you just go through it unfortunately. I wish I could bounce off of it.
A bumper. Cool. Thanks for the update. They should also update the firing rage so that we could place a bumper for training purposes.
Oh let me remind Move-able enemy. (Drag and drop) Add shield to the enemy. Add up to 5 other enemies. Custom maps enabled. Add the x2 damage thingy. Add a skip button so you can finish the turn without waiting long. (like bounsplode, fireball, cats and dogs, etc)
Would anybody try to exploit the shield's reflective ability in order to hit another tank? I've never seen anybody do that and I doubt many people would try that unless they were bored. Most people use the barriers for trick shots.
