I haven't noticed until now, but why would there be a chat box in the firing range? Does it have a use or is it just there for normality's sake?
Maybe on the next solar eclipse the firing range tanks will become sentient and start taking over the multiplayer where they will destroy everybody's chat boxes and delay the next update which will cause more mayhem and confusion!
Sounds like the latest reason of why we didn't get an update today as promised. Back on subject, I have noticed this for a time when I used to play skirmish out of boredom. I guess so we could yell insults at trolling/stupid bots as we beat them. It could be also we could say nice shot to yourself or blow off steam talking to ourselves for entertainment. ^^ (Probably just a carry off mistake he isn't realize the put on both areas the game)
well in skirmish u can invite friends, idk why. and as for the firing range it was also like that in ssl2, just explains that kyle is a bad dev...
Well, if you're like me and don't talk with a mic for videos, the in-game chat could work to explain something. Say a new weapon has released and you wish to talk about proper usage of said weap or simply report its existence. Though I wouldn't speak either way, soooo eh, bad dev, yaddayaddaetc. Edit: Also, it's fun to talk to yourself and the secret ghost shellshockians that reside in Firing Range village :x
a way to make it usefull: achivement: I'm alone -say something in chat box in fringing range or skirimish. reward: 100xp + a friend (maybe mini tank weapon)
IMHO it would be waste of time to code two different game platforms (or whatever you want to call them) when they are basically the same except one has dimwit AI and the other has equally behaving real humans. Also, I'd like us to stop insulting and bashing Kyle at every possibly turn. It is childish and uncalled for. Should I use such language of my fellow SSL player I would have been banned for life long ago so why is it OK when speaking of him?
