Alright so, I play 1 v 1 Deathmatch to earn some xp. I manage to lower my opponent s health down to a few hp and this is what he does...he stacks on my tank and commits suicide by aiming downwards...

What is the purpose of doing that? He does not achieve victory or gain XP. The way I see it, he is simply preventing me to get 2 XP by finishing himself off and look like a noob taking a rage.

I think ppl do this so:
1)They want screw ur xp(possibly 6-7 xp less)
    2)Rage
3)wepaons like firestorm and seagull can do a decent amount of damage when stacked. ppl want xp like that
4)they wanna tie the match by killing themselves and the 3 final bombs that come when u die can easily do that

I always ask ppl when I play 1v1 is kamikaze OK.. And I do how they prefer, personally I don't see the problem (why you think 3 bombs are made for?), but I can understand why some ppl don't like it.

Its strategic, the purpose is to get the extra hit points from the explosion and possibly kill the person as well, especially if you want to make as much use of yourself, given you would be killed the following turn nonetheless. If the opponent does not die, it is a failed suicide.

Like in real war, better to wound or possibly kill an oponnent than just die..

Yeah, but when it's a 3vs3 match, I hate when they suicide if it's 2vs1 or 3vs1. Then it makes no sense. They don't get a tie, or victory, or anything

So in 2 V 1 a kamikaze attack doesn't achieve victory? Do you mean if the kamikaze attacker is the sole survivor?

Yeah that makes no sense whatsoever. I guess they gain satisfaction from gaining a 5 XP kill...

It's extremely annoying of not getting the 5XP that you deserved to get. Also the win bonus, total of about 18XP loss is very very very annoying.
5 XP is like dealing 50 extra damage, I'm sorry but it just seems like running away from the fact that you have lost.

It's starting to really annoy me too because more and more players are adopting this "strategy". I do not care if it they only do it every once in a while but this is happening game after game. I'm just going to start kicking people who do that.

It's more satisfying. It's not like your 5 xp really matters much anyways. I want to go out in a blaze of glory.

There is a major flaw in suiciding your opponent that has not been mentioned.

If you don't die, they have to shoot at you next round to kill you. So killing yourself gives the enemy one more free shot at your teammates.

Given this fact, I have only ever seen one time where the suicide was strategically worthwhile. The rest of the time it always hurt the remaining team.

I am discussing about it in 1 v 1 games. However, yes it can be useful in team matches. I sometimes use Seagull straight up on high health enemy tanks, when it is apparent that my death will come the following turn. Gained us the victory when defeat seemed inevitable, believe it or not.

If the enemy is annoying, why allow them extra XP? Regular quiet or nice enemies, don't see the point though.

I rarely do it but face a decent amount of people that do it. Seems high prestige players or any prestige player, usually don't g do it. I've never done it in a 1 vs 1 either.
