Discussing Perks: Reinforced Barrel & Grappling Hook

Here is the Grappling Hook for you all

 

Sigh. And here we have another case of one of the sub-perks being higher priced than the actual perk itself, AND the other two sub-perks are evenly-priced.

Kyle... I really want to know what you were thinking here. People will have to mortgage their homes to pay for this stuff. Altogether for just these two perks, fully-upgraded, is 580 Tank Coins. You could buy Chrome Rims for less.

 

I have purchased a lot of these things without purchasing TC. Besides the Starter Pack, I've earned everything I own. Ask Google.

 

Grapple sucks.
Barrel pwns.

And yes, grapple is overpriced. I have them both fully upgraded, with the exception of golden barrel (seem pointless, kind off like rims)
Grapple happens sometimes, not often. Barrel, well... critical strikes almost every shot, atleast 6 out of 10 shots.

Can you actually see the grapple above your tank? As in, this thingy?

 

I have heard people say the Grappling Hook isn't visible until activated (grabbing a box).

Weapon Pack costs more but are much more powerful compared to the Reinforced Barrel perk. I suggest Weapon Pack 3 or 4.

I mean, not to go off on a tangent, but have you ever had the Maui Wowie wings at Wild Wings? They have exactly the right sweetness and heat, it's pretty awesome.

 

Just wanted to ask here rather than a new thread, which is better to get first power packed or lucky strike? or just get wp5 cause i usually 1v1?

i have the reinforcel barred with the powerpacked,i think that its better for 1v1 because u can deal a BIG damage with any crit weapon (like 168 with lightstrike,or 210 with trinade.
at the moment i do not own lucky strike or grapling hook.
if u dont have pack 7 buy it,i think that weapons are the best.
but packs 3,4,5 are close.
6 is bad.

So... I've noticed it still says nowhere in this thread what any of the specific perks actually do.

Here are the details for the critical perks:
As in the image below, the Reinforced Barrel (60 coins) provides a 5% chance of a critical hit (1.5x damage) on every shot.
Lucky Strike (80 coins) increases the critical chance from 5% to 10%
Power Packed (60 coins) increases the critical from 1.5x damage to 2x damage
Gold Plated (40 coins) replaces steel with gold plating for a "luxurious appearance"

Someone else will have to post details on the grappling hooks, I don't have the base upgrade yet.

when i first unlocked the barrel i just felt like being conned. When you unlock it by spending 60TC and learning that you need to spend 180 more to enhancing it is equal to just being a crook.

He should've informed us by showing unlock tree, otherwise this is plain hypocrisy..

I was even more shocked at hook.. i mean how can you dare to do that to us kyle? hiding the unlock tree and shocking us with coin amounts to unlock stuff?
