Inspired by seeing cool nature photos in Google. xd. -Molten lava map (heatwave strikes per every 6 turns, damaging some enemies. Lava pits that damage and completely nullify weapons that go through it) -Frozen map (unstable tank movement, weapons bounce, icicles on top that damages enemies.) -Radioactive map (damages your tank each turn but gives you bigger explosion radius) -Gravel map (disturbed movements, weapons could dig into the gravel a little before exploding) -Slime map (can't move due to stickiness, instead you could mini-jump by spending 30 fuel) -Moon map (jetpack height is doubled, weapons fly twice as far, every few turns random meteorites strike the terrain possibly damaging enemies) -Water pits (slow movement of tank and weapons) -Honey pits (tiny, heals you by 5hp each turn when touching it) -Floating island map (few large flying terrain, tanks which fall are instantly dead) -Desert map (some part of terrain slowly pulls the tank in, tanks which are inside the sand loses 15hp per turn due to suffocation, water weapons evaporate; won't work. There are cacti which damaged enemies and have 50hp to destroy it) -Crystal cave map (crystal cave with few floating crystals, crystals cannot be destroyed)
I like this idea. The game still feels pretty tame for what it is, this will help make things crazy and fun!
I forgot to mention; these can be applied to currently existing maps. Obstacles such as cacti and lava pits are randomly generated upon starting a match. Randomly generated things are always great, and infinite
Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous artwork and editing! Proof that it's possible to be done! If it can't be dynamic at least we have more interesting environments!
yeah the possibilities in all of these are awesome especially in moon map because you can have the earth orbiting around and some shooting stars would be amazing
This could go so many routes and take inspiration from a lot of other games as well. Molten could have those "Heat Waves" every so often and could have increased damage or critical chance on fire weapons, and a debuff for water weapons. Forest: The map has trees covering the top of the map, while the trees block shots in the air, they have a greater chance to drop gears. You can chip away at the trees as the match goes on. Graveyard: Every so often the map can go completely black, making it harder to see. Lightning flashes to aid in sight. Can give an XP bonus Sky Zone: Ground is made up of clouds, explosions are increased, but damage is decreased. The longer a weapon is in the air, the more damage it does. Plague: The ground is purple, Orbs will appear floating around the map, smash the orb to collect a small prize, or give your team an advantage. Hallow: Rainbows will appear every so often, shooting from a rainbow end will give you more XP, and slowly regenerate health. Sweet Zone: Giant candy structures can appear occasionally, these can block your shot. Shooting them heals your tank. Ultimatum: Comprises elements from every environment. it could go on and on, and would add a ton of replayability to the game, without necessarily adding game modes.
this one is the plague graveyard i like this idea the most it probably won't have just weird color blocks you get the idea with the candy
Seeing some great artworks, I'm now much more confident about the idea and decided to talk with kChamp about it. Once he gets on, that is. Excellent work!!! Might as well add pools of lava or water? ;p These environments could have respective background of their own to give it a bit more taste rather than that dusty black background.
Some more possibilities: Highway: Ground is asphalt, increases tank speed and traction. Chance that a bot tank can spot, whoever claims it first, wins the bot for their team. Solar Base (Alpha-Male): Makes lower tier weapons more valuable. Has a chance that gravity can shift, and occasionally has a fire flare up in the map. Hurricane: Dynamic map has very heavy rain in the background, lightning can strike sometimes, wind can get chaotic on this map, reaching up to 20. Tranquil Glen: Damage done and blast radius is decreased, has flowers that can grow and bloom into gears. Rainforest (Jungle): Similar to Forest, but has denser trees, can get dark. Includes many animal sound effects, critical chance is increased here. Ruined Battlegrounds: The scene of tank battles in the past, every tank has more armor. Former dead tanks can be dug up in the battlefield to get very good weapons and crates. A dusty, dilapidated map. Canyon: An orange rocky style that grows tall rock monuments occasionally, every so often a rock can fall from the sky damaging players. Nebulon: A very space-esque map that is located on a star. Every 5 turns every person gets teleported to a random location. Underworld: A fire ridden zone that spews tall lava spires, a firey ring spawns, and if you sacrifice 3 of your weapons to this ring, it will grant you a very good item. Ocean: The map can flood, when the map floods, water weapons are much more efficient and jetpacks go twice as far. Shots fired are slower.
Bouncy Map:All weps that Bounce is x2 more Bouncy, outer weps that no hit the tank have 50% to Bounce Gold Map: Make x5 more gears Music Club Map:As some music + the tanks jump in the beat Pixel Map:all is 8-bit and Shot and this tiers to 3x more dmg(maybe) Blood Map: 2x More dmg in all your shots and received. heal 1% in each turn

I sure hope Kyle reads this! I love all of these ideas so much! Put them in the gear shop! Replace the colors with these environments!
he did(infact he puted like on muffin maps that are amazing) but i seriously doubt we will see that in game......he took 1 and half week for 2 weaps :/ like alaways i hope that kyle will make this maps beacause ssl is getting so BORING but there are like 5% chance maybe less to see that in game
I don't see how more luck can help this game? I think a more skillful appreciation theme would be awesome, maybe a map where tanks are randomly moved where no tracers or items can be used?
I Guess 1 word post don't work anymore,but honey Health regen is Terraria others are also copyright. I'm sure Kyle could make a creative way for hp regains, but why? just another luck factor.
honey health regen is copyright? if you think about it, from your perspective, the whole of shellshock is basically copyright for being a multiplayer platformer tank game
