Is there still no way to get a more advanced registration thing? Like enter a question like "What weapon isn't in SSL2: Blob, Shot, or Iceshot" and if they choose wrong, they can't register? I've seen similar things on other websites/forums..

 

spam bots are old yo, and as far as i know, no one but kchamp and edit the forum coding and add extensions onto it :L

 

i have a question, exactly how much power do mods/staff/admins have?

like if i were to discuss something in private conversation i kinda want to know its private...

and i think the major clan leaders...they've managed to maintain their clans and keep order and stuff...let them be staff if you need more staff...

I think the bots figured out when to spam. @Google567 sometimes isn't here who lives at west coast with advantages but what if he isn't here bots would spam

I haven't posted like this on these forums before, but I have to register strong displeasure at a recent action.

The thread: "questions answered", which was started by KChamp, has been locked.

The thread was hijacked by arguments unrelated to the thread, and certain people continued arguing and disrupted/hijacking the thread even when asked (very politely) to stop by several members of the community and a moderator.

This behavior clearly violates several of the forum's rules, but instead of action being taken against the posts in the thread, the forum was locked, and users who wanted to actually discuss the post were no longer allowed to.

This action does very little to penalize the users who caused the thread to be locked - their posts are all still there.
This action does nothing to un-hijack the thread, which is sad because it was a very nice thread that Kchamp started. It remains preserved and corrupted as a result of this action.
This action mostly penalizes the community, who are no longer allowed to discuss the topic(s) in good faith.

 

Well some things that people were saying needed to be said. It was built up shit they had nowhere else to vent it out at. But I do agree that the arguing got out of hand, it was really like 3 people arguing against one, lol. The posts that weren't directly related to Kyle's thread should had just been deleted instead of them locking the whole thread.

 

I agree with all of this. They could have deleted the posts, and left it open. However, let's look at it from the other point of view.
Right now, the community is riled up. They delete the posts, and it looks like a normal thread again! Until... someone starts the tension up again about what someone else says. They begin a quarrel, and more people pay their cents. In no time, BAM. It is already in a full-fledged argument again. It is just gonna happen, no matter what you do. Deleting the posts would save space on the thread, but it would not stop the possibility of fighting again on the thread.
It's a two sided road, both sides heading into a never-ending desert.

 

Not gonna lie, when I read this in my head, it sounded like a pre-recorded automated message
