Hello everyone, thank you for all your recent comments on this thread. Your opinions matter very much as they let us staff members know how we are performing our job, both good or bad. I'd like to apologize on behalf of the moderation team for any recent unpleasant experiences anyone has ever had with the current staff on this forum, we are deeply sorry, and we value your opinions on how we do our job as forum staff members. While we may not always post in this thread or reply to some comments, we do read everything that is posted here, and that is taken into account in private. I also would like to add that reporting users is highly recommended as always as this makes it easier for us to do our job, now it's not required, but it would be helpful to us. :)

It is also important that if any member of this forum encounters any bad experiences with staff members on this forum please feel free to voice your opinion here, or in a private conversation with us so we may work that out for you, and take it into account for any future changes.

Once again, we are deeply sorry and offer our deepest condolences for the way we have been as of recently and we will improve upon this to make this forum a much more active, and happy place for our members to enjoy, and to share experiences and ideas with one another!

Why was Candor removed from his mod position? He was always a decent mod. (haha get it)

Candor was removed from his previous position due to certain altercations that are still under review by current staff members.

First, is Google being reviewed too?
Second, if one so happens to become a mod again, then the other should too because it would be rightfully unfair to the other person.

I think we discussed and debated enough regards to why he's not suitable to be a moderator already, so I doubt he's being reviewed.

I don't know lots of things going on at once. With banna sending his request to retire, it's gonna be weird just having xvio as the only mod on & two admins to watch the forums if they choose not to bring either back. By the looks of what's going on it looks like a machine that was falling apart, an idea to attempt to fix it and now it blew up before any fixes can be made. So now it's best to salvage what they can (which isn't a lot) and make a new machine. At least incredepede has black widow who can help make some of the toughest decisions with him.

Besides this isn't little league anymore, the forums are part of what represent the game to the steam market which is significantly bigger than all of the flash sites combined and if this isn't good then nothing good can come from it if we are the same main people making the suggestions. I'm pretty sure almost everybody here on this forum having debates on suggestions that should be on the game is so that we can see the game do the best that it can do potentially. We all have different opinions & views on what should be done about the games and not everybody is gonna agree with you a 100% with your suggestion, which is where the debate comes in and I'm fine with that. Now however the forums have literally been "Politics Simulator 2016" and you have users attacking other users just so that in the end they can say "I'm right" and that's what I'm not ok with. It's also a good thing to have constructive criticism for the game (most users do this) but when you are constantly belittling the dev, the game, and the community because you didn't get your way that's when you are pushing it too far and it needs to stop. It has been noticed clearly and the recent changes were made to put a stop to it and I thank Incredepede for doing this as well as the other mods & Black Widow for doing their best to contain it before these changes were made.

Kyle is just one person and he really looks to us when he needs ideas on how to make the game better. If the community is dysfunctional, then the game isn't going to do as best as most of us want it to because we really drive the game to the best it can be and Kyle has said this. If you have no intention on making this game the best it can be, then I'm sure the staff will help you show the way out. If you really want this game to do the best it can do then please be constructive about it and have a nice day :D

Sorry that I ranted on the thread that was supposed to be meant for staff feedback.

In the new rules, it says that "rudness" will not be tolerated. My question is to what degree is rudeness considered? Would saying "kChamp should make updates which add to the depth of the game, rather than just put in weapons" be considered "rude"? Or is rude to a greater extant than that. Rudeness is kinda a scale, and each mod may interpret that differently, so I want to know what would be on the good and the bad. If I can't say the example above, the forums is almost at a North Korea-esque state.

To be serious, I think sarcasm is where mods start giving out warnings. I can't believe the amount of people not getting sarcasms that even a 9 year old kid uses.

Good question, it's mainly things that sound as if they are provoking I'd say. And rules as stated are always subject to change, so this may not be a permanent thing, it can be tweaked to be still strict, but not to the point where it looks like the forum is under some sort of dictatorship. :)

Hello fellow forum members, just letting you know, if you have any problems or disputes with the way the staff is running the forum, as a reminder we also have this thread that was created long ago, but seems to have been forgotten by members. Feel free to use it when you find any displeasure with the handing of the forum by current staff, or any problems, or questions you wish to voice out, and we will look at it and give a response, or resolve your problem as best to our abilities. And while you can also private message us, this thread is probably the best place to do that by the way!

Alright, after the Aeova incident, how are bans really determined? What goes into them? Are they compared to other situations, or is it just done case-by-case? This is partly in the rules, but after this new thing happened, I really don't know what's going on anymore in regards to bans.

Trolling/crap-posting gets you two weeks to a permanent ban, but uploading a pornography which clearly shows the private parts is considered to only deserve 1-3 month ban. REALLY?? And in case if some of you think this is an exaggeration for a gaming community, go to any other forums and communities all over the internet, and they will instantly throw you a permanent ban. No questions asked.

See, this is one of the reason why this forum never improves. This is outright garbage and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The staffs have pretty much no clue what they're talking about when it comes to warning or banning people - from the chat I have had and just had regarding this matter - and are just meandering all over the place just to find a solution to 1+1. They warn people for the slightest, maaaaybe arguably against-the-rules posts, they permanently ban people for trolling, but they take it incredibly lightly when a person literally posts porn on a gaming forum.

    Don't even quote me, "staffs".

The current ban duration is a temporary decision and we've told you that before. You make a mountain out of a molehill.

You also said that the maximum ban duration would be 3 months, which I've written in the post. Also, you said he posted pornography multiple times that is in the grey zone previously, yet it still takes you guys long time to think whether this deserves long period ban or not?

I'm pretty sure complaining about the length of a guy's ban and insulting the people that gave it to him isn't going to make them extend it. :/

I mentioned that the first result of a vote was a three month ban, but after taking a second look at the situation, the current second result is a permanent ban. Now, you may ask yourself why the user hasn't been permanently before. I can answer that. It was my fault because I defended the user and believed in the user. I was some kind of a dictator back then, and now we're in the process of changing everything to a better system with better and fairer decisions.

    - Every staff member is allowed to decide a temporary ban length.
    - Staff members are currently discussing the suggested ban length.
    - Every ban is case-by-case.
    - Our decisions are based on several factors. For example, how the user's behavior was in the past, and if he/she have broke any rules before. It isn't case-by-case to be biased.

Why is it that the entire staff is made up from only DH clan members? Don't you think there should be a diversity of other capable forum members so it doesn't look so one sided? DH monopolizes and protects for unknown reasons any attempt for new and upcoming staff members and it's a selfish and unfair act. The idea of the forums being overseen by just one clan looks to many like favoritism when there are many others out there that are fully capable. Just an observation seen by many.
