I have a question. On the driving thread I think you said that you weren't a native English speaker when you asked about someone's use of the word injury. What is your native language?

 

I was born into Spanish speaking parents, but I guess they quickly realized that English was a better language here... So... Yea... I don't know... It's very complicated...

 

So do you still speak Spanish?

Cave In by Owl City on his album Ocean Eyes. Awesome song. One of my favorite by him lyrics wise. The creativity is inspiring.

And yes! Whenever I am depressed, angry or just can't sleep I listen to Owl City. I used to think it was unpopular for a guy to like his music so much (judging by the army of girls at my school who were obsessed >.>) until one of the biggest dudes on my soccer team randomly started singing "Bird and the Worm" during practice.

 

.... Nobody here likes him... Everyone at my school is either like Justin Biever or One Direction...

It's changed for the worse at my school too. Especially One Direction... A few of their songs are decent, but I think I'm missing a key part to liking them.

 

Key part indeed, too much pop culture is bad for you...

 

You probably have and just not known it. I don't think "What Makes You Beautiful" is too bad personally.

That reminds me of a song. (of course anything reminds me of a song..) I try to stay away from pop culture. I'm always amazed by people who only listen to music that's currently "popular" and in the AT 40.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be in school with a bunch of Justin Bieber fans... my god.

To be fair I have no respect at all for One Direction. I even prefer Bieber to them. Their new song (midnight memories I think it is called?) would be alright in my opinion, if it wasn't for the fact that every live recording of it I have seen has them performing with equipment that isn't plugged in. Their fans are worse too... they argued with me when I pointed out that the instruments weren't plugged in by saying it's all wireless now. Now I'm a guitarist... and whilst it is true that most bands use wireless technology now they still need to be plugged in for it to work...

 

It's a long story... But basically, they speak Spanish cause they lived in Spain.... I mean, they're not really Spanish but they just wanted to live there.... Until I came along that is...
