Do any of you have that one weapon that deals trash or okay damage but you always use it regardless because it's so satisfying? Do you have a weapon that's pretty good but you dislike it for its aesthetic characteristics? I always use Excavation, Stone and Big Bulger. If it 'bulged' more I would probably use it always. I don't like MegaBuilder though, it feels weak.
Boomerang is so fun to use and it feels so gratifying to land a hit with it. Payload, hoverball, and three bounce are tied for second. Not necessarily weak weapons, but not really reliable either, just use them for fun. IDK why but I've never liked using frogs or megabuilder.
I think it's because it feels like it's bouncing off them, rather than pummeling them down into the ground. It just feels wrong
Some weapons like the builder and digger tiers need more oomph. Not necessarily in damage, but in aesthetics or animation. I remember from ssl2 the diggers would rise up slow but pound down hard and fast (Please keep your jokes to yourself), but in the steam version, they rise and fall at the same speed, which is less satisfying to me.
Puzzler and bouncy ball tiers aren't very good but are fun to use. Nuke is really good but I don't really like the visual for it.
I think this is the most common one. We always are like "Whoa" or "Ouch" when someone Nukes you, but in reality it only does 80 damage which is comparable to many other weapons.
I love rapid fire/shotgun, honestly. Even though it only does around 20-25 damage each time I use it, it just feels so powerful because of the way it looks while being shot.
I enjoy purposefully missing MegaNuke but hit every other weapon spot-on to make people wonder if I am mentally unstable.
For me, it's Heavy Napalm. If my stats are right, I've only lost 4 games with it in my deck ever... Yet, at the same time, I love the way it just murders people so easy. And yes, I record my own stats. Don't judge me!
It's just consistent, that's the only good part about it. But it has stunning visuals for its damage, its just guaranteed heavy damage. It's a good weapon with over the top visuals IMO, but why make it look worse?
