Hmm, I'm still not clear if you lose level unlocks like maps/tanks/themes and especially weapons when you prestige, but if you do... I think that if you prestige you shouldn't have to lose all the weapons you worked for up to all that point. Now I don't really care about losing tanks/themes/maps but I find that a lot of the higher level weapons like nuke and grand finale aren't being used often. If maybe you could keep your weapons, or even have the choice of some of your weapons to keep, it would be better. There are a lot of people like me where there only good weapons are level unlocks, but still want to prestige. I am almost level 50 and I'm not even sure if I want to prestige yet. Trading all your level unlocks like fireworks, sticky bomb, multi-nade, 2012, sub-sniper, megadigger, asteroid storm, BFG-9000, shooting star, grand finale, and nuke for one really good weapon(and possibly more really good weapons in the future) still doesn't seem like a good idea. Again, I think you should be able to keep some, if not all your weapons from leveling up. ...maybe I wasted my time with all that, but I heard from multiple 'prestigers' this story.
well... they obviously dont play often and aren't dedicated players, because if they were they would tell you to prestige. prestiging has no flaws if you are a dedicated player, if you are not a dedicated player there really is no point in prestiging. simple as that
it would only make sense to have to re-unlock the unlock-able weapons if you are reverted to lvl 1, thats the point of prestigeing....and its the reason you get a really good weapon in return for doing so.
Oh damn I was going to suggest that but anyways... Oh and we could re-unlock all weapons permanently which means you don't lose it no matter how much times you prestige, if you accept resetting all the tank upgrades. As you level up three times, you get one tank upgrade token. This is effective to other prestiges too.
If you are having a lot of fun at level 50 then don't prestige, but if you get bored (as you probably will) then Prestiging is a great way to have the fun of unlocking everything again. I can see why you don't want to lose your weapons. Perhaps every prestige a user could get one "permanent unlock" so that they could unlock a weapon forever after each time they prestige. I'm not sure if it would that would be a free implementation or not.
Well yes, prestige were built for those who want to level up again, but not losing any XP or stuff they've bought. I totally agree with you TOG.
