Suppose most of us hate ragequitters. They often ruin fun of the game. Even in individual shot game. Why they do so? I think cause they prefer loose 10 xp but start new game where they'll get new massarea weap so they wont miss. So, may be its possible to make a change, that people that ragequit cant enter new game during at least 5 or 10 nearest minutes. I'd wish more, but 5-10 wont hurt people with bad connection, that not ragequit but just disconnect.
I'd prefer that this didn't happen until maybe three rage quits. Prohibition. If they quit too many games, than they can't join any games for the next 5 minutes. Seems like a good idea, but like you stated, if you have bad connection and get disconnected, than well, you've just been prohibited for no reason. That's why I said after three times maybe.
I think a dunce hat system would be nice for the quitters. They can still play, but at least let us know they aren't going to make it through the game so we will have the option to boot them from the start. they quit 3 games, then they get a dunce hat for x amount of time or x amount of games. anyways, just an idea.
I don't think emblems will help. They might want a emblem and get it by Rage quitting. I think the best thing is to get temp ban for at least a hour if they rage quit at least 5 times that day.
Let the ragers RAGE just like let the haters hate at the end of the day we will never be able to stop these kinds of people and must just put up with it and they will be the ones who will get bord and quit the game. Stay strong and carry on playing .
the dunce hat system could work for team shooters also.. GTA 5 had the dunce hat thing going and people hated having the hats, hopefully it would be the same for Shell Shock 2 too.
Amother idea might be that the difference between players with bad connection and ragequitters is that 1 leave randomly and other right after their shot. So as punishment to not giving 5-10 minutes join other game - we can add zero all XP and tank coins you got in 24 hours if ragequit 3 times in 24h.
The tank coins might be a bit much - I mean what if someone has 79 tank coins, then gets one fro a box, immediately buys a weapon pack, then gets the third quit. You could say take away the pack and refund the 79 coins but that would just let people test the packs for free so might make things worse since more might do it just to try a pack - or maybe to do that several times and effectively get the pack without ever buying it. The rest sounds good though.
I suppose watching accounts would work if we had someone with such a position in-game still. But I'm missing something since I don't understand why the coins wouldn't be refunded (except the last one that was canceled) if the pack they were used to buy was removed.
i like this idea , but with increasing time rate and xp reduction , though the 5 min ban should happen after 3 games , not one
How about if you quit 3 times, your tank is set to a normal with a big red "N" by default and all level weapons and weapon packs you currently own are temporarily disabled for 1 hour. We have to deal with these rage quitters severely and that should put them off rage quitting hopefully.
i saw in Badeggs (another game like ssl2 with eggs) a cool thing called REP "reputation" , it uses a green like or a red unlike to show if you are a rege quitter or not. i think it would be a cool feature on shellshock live 2 too . this is just an example ,they have prestige system too with different symbols .
