Reward for SSL2 forum members

Hey, I'm leaving on a vacation in a few hours, so I wanted to put out one last suggestion before I left. So, Right now there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people that have played SSL2 and yet there are only a bit more than 100 members in the forums. I think It would be nice to have a tank coin reward of like 3 or 4 for becoming a member on the forums. This would greatly increase the number of members, thus bringing in more suggestions and bugs.

 

This would be great for the Facebook's Task 5.

How about earning 30 tank coins for people who were ALREADY forum members, and 50 for moderators, and 100 for admins?

Non-Forumers (And turned into forumer) - 3 tank coins
Forumers (Originally a forumer) - 6 tank coins
Moderators - 10 tank coins
Administrators - 15

Well I would hope kChamp would consider this because of the lack of people on the forums.

 

It would be nice. I also think tank coins should be given upon updates, encouraging the players to continue playing.

 

So, are we talking about earning 5 Tank Coins for joining, or a reward on a set basis for BEING a member?

Like, the reward if you're already a member. But this suggestion mainly targets those who aren't yet.

 

But what about the amount of people who join for the coins and never post a single thing in their life? I think some sort of way to entice people into posting here on a regular basis would help in increasing forum members.

 

That's the problem...People'll only do it for TC, but there'll be a legit percentage that'll be active.

 

I've already mentioned this. Agent60 believes that more people will use their account regularly vs. the people who just want coins.

 

You're a good example. Most people didn't even know about the forums. Some do, and they made an account. Like how you knew about it, and you made an account, and was active. This suggestion could be merged with my periodical announcement of the forums.

 

Yes, but the coins could be another great way to 'push' on that person's desire to make an account.

 

A little is better than none, yes?
And, if I'm correct, the 'little' might be about half the people who made the account.

 

That would also work. Like you can click someone's tank in a lobby, and another tab will pull on the Forum, on their profile page.

Hmm... true. I've been "advertising" the forums in games, but I can't see that being a good long-term solution. A periodical announcement is a good idea.

 

Yes. Perhaps the forum members could have the ability to 'link' the URL of their profile page to that button.

 

Well...It could be. Maybe the tank in a game room, also.

 

Seems like a good idea but then again there will be those people who will make about 4 accounts to get a free month of deluxe (20 tank coins)...

 

Could be another thing to implement in Tasks, "Make Account at Forums"
