This is not a punishment system. This is a system to make a team game continue to be fair and balanced throughout a game where a user ends up quitting. A few things to be implemented: Spectator mode Ability to join ongoing games Overall revamped substitution system "All Shot" and "Team Shot" Arsenal XP Tank Stats Substitution rotation Spectator Mode The ability to join any game as a spectator could be beneficial in a lot of ways: -Important matches being able to be scheduled and watched by non participants (like tournaments) -Ability to drop in on a friend's game -Spectators being able to substitute for the corpse of a quitter Ability to join ongoing games How about we give all those active games in the lobby some sort of actual use? Instead of having them all have the number for joined users constantly full (2/2, 4/4, 6/6), it should reflect the number of active players in the game. That way, somebody in the lobby can voluntarily join a game already in progress and receive all the XP they would have gotten in bonuses at the end of the match. ~Overall revamp of the substitution system~ "All Shot" and "Team Shot" After the remaining teammates are locked in, one of them will be selected to control the substitute tank's movement and aim for a shorter period of time. The time would be selected based on the remaining time from when the remaining player(s) have locked in + an extra 10 seconds. Arsenal Substitute tanks should have the arsenal that the player who quit had before they left. Whoever ends up substituting the tank then has access to that arsenal when in command of that tank. The system of getting a random crappy default weapon is horrible. Having a horribly nerfed tank as a substitution doesn't fix anything. XP Substitution tanks granting XP can be horribly abused in your typical 3v3 XP farm even further than it can already. Unless there is some sort of filter to prevent the same computer being on multiple accounts at once, this should be put on hold. Tank Stats To prevent further nerfing of substitution tanks, the tanks should retain their tank upgrade stats when being substituted. Substitution Rotation Rather than granting a single user control over a substitution tank when there are 2 available players. The person granted control over the tank should rotate between the two rather than just to one player. With this system fully implemented, there should be less complaints regarding quitters. Teammates should not be punished for quitters. This system should fix that.
I agree with most of this, except for two small things: For the arsenal part, you don't want a level 2 substituting for a level 45 prestige 4. It should be all the weapons the quitter had that the substituting player has. To fill in the gaps of weapons the sub player doesn't have, it would be a selection of randomized weapons from the sub's collection of weapons. For the tank stats, it's basically the same thing as above. You don't want a lower level having full tank upgrades. Say the substitute has 10 fuel, traction, and armor(luck doesn't affect this because subs can't collect boxes), but the quitter has 5 of every upgrade, the sub would still receive his normal tank stats. If the sub has 10 of every upgrade and the quitter has 20, the sub would still only get 10. Hope that made sense. Main point is I don't like the idea of low levels getting high level advantages.
I like this - except the Why should someone who played 20 turns and someone who played 8 turns get the same round bonus? Now if we figured the sub played 40% of the game so gets 40% of the bonus that's good.
That small extra bit of bonus might be an incentive for people to actually join games already in progress. Maybe the 100% bonus is a bit much though...
There is no reason this would happen unless kChamp is literally the worst coder to ever make a large scale flash game
sure, being able to substitue for a quitter is your idea, but i feel that it should go on the green 'Ability to join ongoing games'
Are you talking about x2 weapons mode? If yes, better not talk about it since TONS of people have suggested it already, seems like kChump is acting like he didn't see them.
I mean the fact that if you teammate quit you got to shoot randomly his weapons and actually get half xp if you hit with them.
Wait, never mind I think it should be half XP. If not, people can log in to 3 other tabs then quit during the match.
In my opinion, losing 10 xp is not doing the justice that the developer had hoped for. The idea of joining games that has already started is AWESOME! +1000 for that. Say, if your account is flagged for quitting a lot of games, you should not be able to join a game for a certain time frame. Say , you can not join for 30min after you quit 2 games etc....
