when u play ssl on steam u can't switch to the forums fast anymore

 

What if you do the Alt+Tab??

 

Ik but it ain't faster than playing ssl2 sometimes depending which game it will lag/kick u out

Well, that isn't necessarily a BUG. Just an inconvenience. Honestly, I like that mechanic. Troll players are kicked easier if they go off and do something else. It affects everyone, but really, +5 @kChamp . Now, we can tell who is truly devoted from who just sorta mills around.

Are you saying you can't switch tabs? As if you are unable to? Or are you saying if you do, you lag out? That's a world of difference.
If it is #2, your computer/whatever you are using is having issues handling it. It will resolve itself once the machinery gets used to the file.

Umm... what do those even do? I am the opposite of a tech guy. I remember Cnt-c =copy and Cnt-p =paste, but... no idea what those other two do. lol

 

Ctrl tab changes tabs on your browser alt tab changes your window like word from browser n ctrl r refreshes your browser

 

Ah. Well, SSLS probably takes up tons and tons of CPU usage... It is logical that it would crash. It must take (at least) 40 CPU to run the game, and when a new window is opened/command is pressed, that's 30 more CPU. That's 70/100 CPU, and that's a lot. With the browser opening, it is far closer to 90-100/100 CPU. If anything, it is a precautionary Microsoft thing, rather than a glitch with physical Steam. Especially, this happens when you have Windows 8/8.1/anything higher (if there is). It is an internal precaution taken by your system so the game doesn't crash, as well as the browser. If I know anything about Microsoft, it is that their work is not consistent from version to version.

You can play in windowed mode... Problem solved.

 

you can just shift + tab and just use the steam browser while in-game

No, but this one has. It clearly ask upon start if you want windowed mode.

 

i dont think ssl3 is that demanding, i play csgo with like skype and mumble and other stuff in the background. from what im looking at, ssl3 is a lot less demanding from what id usually play, so regarding cpu, you should be fine
