Is it really that bad? This game feels easy to look at for me. I don't even think I notice hardly any blur effects. Probably subtle if there's any. Probably the only thing that I have a hard time looking at is a fish tank. Feels like my eyes are being pulled.

I have a bit of this problem too, but play in a well lit area and a decent distance away from the screen and you'll be okay,

There is a reason those warnings have been on games for Years o.o

Maybe, for the time being, try reducing the graphics so maybe there wont be as much blur?

But hey its just a theory..
    a game theory..

Adding to Meowr, I'd also suggest reducing your screen's brightness and using https://justgetflux.com/ to auto-manage your screen's brightness when the darkness comes.

If you have a monitor, you could probably use it to change the brightness, too. If it is a laptop, then that doesn't really work, but it should work for a desktop. Each monitor is different, so I am not sure how it would work for him. For me, I press 1, go down 2, enter, change the brightness using the two "arrow keys" to change the brightness, and exit using 1. My monitor is a ViewSonic, if you happen to have that brand.

I personally don't find motion blur in game appealing, but I love to see it in videos or in third person.
To answer your question, try to turn down your monitor refresh rate (if you're complaining this much, I'm guessing you have a 120hz+ monitor?)
