That mega digger record was before the no stack rule was implemented

 

really????1 stack rule is most important rule about records 2 so why didn t removed stack records?now stack records are impossible to beat -_-

 

That was already voted by the editors and they decide to keep the stack records. I think that open a discussion about it is valid... but on another thread. It would be intersting to see what non editors think about keeping the stack records or not... (maybe even opening a vote about it) but not in this thread.

 

As stated by @buyingtime on Page 1 Post #11:

"Our viewpoint on it for now is that records like this will stay as a record. We already counted them as a record and didn't want to take away things that we already said were records. The new rule about stacking will be applied to any records from here on out of enemies stacking to get a better score."

To All Participants:
It seems there is only one player questioning why this decision was made. It's hardly enough support to change a decision voted on by the Editors. However, as respect to JohannZim's comment and to everyone, if any of you wish to further discuss this matter, you may do so here. Any ongoing posts and comments will be later cleaned up by a Moderator to avoid unnecessary clutter. This contest is for everyone. Hearing your opinions are important to assure it is competed with all fairness. You may agree or disagree to the voted decision made by the Editors as to why the old records were kept. If there is enough support in forfeiting old records because of what may be viewed as unfairness, we may reconsider. If there is not enough support, nothing will change and we will continue moving forward.

Question: Should old records be removed because they were stack records?

 

I can see the argument from both sides, but my personal opinion is that they should be removed. I mean, the whole point of this is to add a little competition while showing off amazing results, right? With the stack records as they are, it's practically impossible to beat them.

Perhaps to satisfy both sides, the old stack records could be put into an honorable mention category. This way, they're recognized but they're not actually part of the competition, which also makes it more fair for all the participants.

 

Agreed... i just dont want to generate unnecessary work for the editors... so my personal opinion is to support the removal of the stack records if the editors are ok with it and dont think it will be very troublesome. That being said i dont agree with the honarable mention cause it would be more work to do... but its a cool idea.

And if the stack records are being removed... i support the removal of all of them (enemies tanks touching) including mine ones that i know were not on purpose.

 

When I was saying this to BT everybody weren't saying anyting, hmm, look now, everyone agreed..
But yea, I support.
I would even allow stack, because its part of the game, and if anyone is so low to make acc to stack for dng record, then ..

Well, the Damage Records thread is for the members here to enjoy, and seeing that you 3 (along with 3 other people that 'liked' HellsFury's comment) would like to see all the stack records removed, then we shall find a way to do that. You must realize, the thought of removing the stack records is another daunting task, and that is why I highly disliked that idea when the thread was only 2 days old. Spending hours and hours on creating the format for the Google Doc, linking images from 2 rather long threads, and making sure the font and colors were all correct was a large amount of work- by multiple people. And then being asked to go through every record again to check for stacking records........ didn't exactly seem like fun...... lol

Tell you what though, if you guys want to have the old stacks removed, and are willing to help us out... how about you guys create a convo with each other and go through the images and write down which ones are stacking? Then you can give the list to us and we will remove those records. Seem fair enough?

 

I agree to this. Among yourselves, please provide us a master list of the stack records you wish to have removed and we will remove them. Make this easy and provide only one list in a conversation to the Editors. No removal will be done until we hear from someone.
