You can't just predict things....and with the voting system, people will see, so they know about the risk of letting that person play their game...it has it's up and downs...but if you ask me, the ups outweigh the downs.

First, I agree with KarasuG about the spamming.

On topic, I think 10, 20, 30, 40 - up to 100 would be fine. This resets every month or every 14 days or every 10 games without quitting.

The only problem is that people could 'accidentally' click on the link on the bottom of the page, or just exit their browser.

Sometimes you need need to quit, like if out of no where theres a nuke at your front door. What are you gonna do, keep playing and let it kill you? No your gonna start running. lol But really, sometimes you need to quit during a game

    How about this?

Quit = Randomly lose one privelage of playing. (Ex: Items, creat game, etc.) For 1 week, 2 weeks, etc.

Honestly, how often do you think that is going to happen. I keep seeing arguments against this based on points I already covered. With a progressive penalty system those people that experience the odd need to quit aren't going to lose anything substantial (about the same thing they lose now). It's those players that quit 3 or 4 times or more PER DAY that are going to feel it, and quite frankly they need to. People that quit that often aren't people you really want in your game anyway.

    Ah.
    Well, I agree with Oortcloud.

How about you can only quit once a day?
the second time, you cant quit.

All people really have to do is just exit their browser or refresh. The quit-detection doesn't count those as quits.

How about we just leave it like that.
    10XP is enough.

That can be easily fixed. Either server side or browser side. A simple "GameOpened" Boolean without a "GameFinished" Boolean would indicate whether a player finished or not the next time the game loaded.

Or, when you start a game you pay, upfront, the experience penalty it would cost you for quitting and when your tank is destroyed or the game is ended then you gain that level of exp back. Then it doesn't matter when they quit or how. If they aren't their to finish the game then they don't get back their xp. Think of it as a deposit system.

And "10XP is enough" is patently untrue else we wouldn't have the large amount of game quitters we have now. People quit now because it doesn't cost them anything. Honestly, how often do you play a game where NO players quit (and I'm not talking about the ones that leave after their tank is destroyed)? Generally when that happens someone usually expresses surprise that no one quit.

Well, yeah I dont see people who DONT quit in the game.
    It is mostly a forfeit...

I just dont understand why do people quit whenever they fail?

Honestly, rather often. I don't know what it is, but from what I've seen, quitting is really not that rampant. I know purported "facts" claim otherwise, but I just don't see it happen.

How about when somebody quits more than two times, you lose 50XP. And quit once more, your Lv5 (If not, then Lv4) weapons will be Lv1.

    I think it's too much...

Perhaps its game types. I personally prefer the individual shot games because the xp is much higher and I hate when I make a good shot that is disrupted because a teamate fired something that altered the ground level. I rarely see those games finish out with all players sticking it out, especially in pt games. I don't think I've ever seen a 30 round pt game finish with all players.

But its often hard to find that kind of setup right away so usually play in a 6 player team shot game with armor. I'd have to say my experience with them is that maybe 1 out of 10 games will play without someone quitting.

I'm not much of a fan for Free For All games so don't play those often at all. And I prefer 6 player games because it offers a higher possibility of getting a hit on multiple tanks.

Most excuses for people quitting is that either the game they entered didn't have the settings they expected or they make a fail shot and bail or they are losing.

I call those people who need a life.
    Lol sorry :p

Well even if you failed a good weapon, you still have the rest.
I failed 3 snipers last time, but I got 140XP at the end.

Why is everybody being so negative?
Why not reward players for not quitting instead of giving them penalties?
Maybe give them one tank coin every 15 games that they don't quit. So players can look forward to joys of playing SSL2 instead of being frightened that they will be punished?
