    I dunno... wet wood wouldn't have a smear pattern like that, and there are darker spots where the people are at.

    you can see the wooden pattern on the boardwalk, if it was blood it wouldn't bee that easily seen.
    besides its darker where they are because of the water being freshly dropped there and not being evaporated by the sun, like water tends to do on sunny days such as in the picture

    also if it was a trail of blood, you would be able to see the red trail on the dirt path prior to the boardwalk, which there is none of it
