Really getting tired of being kicked for prestige status

Especially when entering a room filled with prestige 1 to 3 and getting kicked because I'm a 4. It's 1 or 2 more weapons that probably won't show up in my weapons list anyway.

Here's a clue for some of these people - maybe the reason they get their butts kicked is not because I am higher level/prestige, but because they can't aim for crap, don't/can't comprehend how to use each weapon, sit on the wall, never move or think sitting in stacked groups provides protection in numbers.

It's even more maddening in a turn based game where your tank can't be destroyed. Another free clue to these people - winning or losing a turn based game is incidental. The 100 or so points gained from a win mean nothing compared to the several hundred or thousand you are getting from the in game play itself. Being able to actually hit your target is the key, not if they can hit you or what they hit you with.

The game really needs the ability to hide prestige level.

Most low levels want to play against someone who is also a low level.....Not someone who has max armor, traction, and fuel.

 

When I used a JetPack against Lv1 noob, he cursed and cussed about me cheating then team killed me, then kicked me out. wtf.

 

I had tears of laughter running down my face when I read this. xD

Why do I have to give up a part of the game over this kind of nonsense? I'm not a fan of hosting. I'd just like to actually play the game instead of sitting around. When I see a game ready to start that has the parameters that I enjoy and players in the right level range I shouldn't have to face continually being kicked for being "too high of a level". I'm not even in the top 100 list.

There was a problem with the game when people were being prejudiced against for being game supporters and purchasing Deluxe and that was resolved by allowing players to hide that status. Now its the same thing all over again with prestige levels.

Which is understandable. That's why I made sure to emphasize entering rooms with other prestige players or high level players in them.

When I enter a room that is primarily filled with lower level people I leave it. The only time that doesn't apply is when I'm hosting a game open to anyone just to fill the seats and get it going - and these will be turn based games where they cannot be destroyed and despite the disparity still have the opportunity score decent xp if they know how to aim. Or if I was previously in a room with high players who have quit and the room fills with low level people. That choice is there's to make. They can easily see who is already in the room.

I don't agree with hiding the emblem entirely. Just what the prestige level is. Because the reasoning behind kicking someone just because they have a higher prestige is low brow thinking. They may have a few more prestige weapons. Big Deal. That's no different than someone who may have more weapons available because of level or owed weapon packs. Many of these people are are probably the same ones who previously kicked prestige 1 players while making insulting and brain dead remarks against prestige status and are now prestige themselves and happily play with non prestige.

 

It seems like the only solution to this is either hide the prestige level, or the players being able to allow prestiges or not.

 

I'm tired of people not using filters for levels, I'm only lvl 28 and I get kicked from games with lvl 1-20's or like 40+ sometimes, very annoying when it happens loads of times in a row... It's so easy to hide your game from players of my level so why not? :/

 

Well the problem with the prestige system is it messes up the filters. So let's say a Prestige 10, level 1 is hosting a game, and he only wants high levels-prestige. So they cant make the filters a minimum level of anything higher than level 1, and the max can't get lower than 1, so the filter in a case like that is really completely useless, and those are the cases I think you are getting a lot.

 

What Tank said. Plus, I don't think the filters take prestige into account. So even if you set your min level to 40 it will still hold out all prestige players who are not over level 40. A prestige 12 level 25 will fail the minimum level check.

Conversely, if you set the max level to 30, then it will still allow in a prestige players so long as their level is below 30. So the filter system is pretty much useless.

Ah,Miami....I've also been kicked so many times by him.So,I'm not going to enter his game since then.

 

I haven't had a problem with Miami as far as I remember. He was actually a pretty cool dude. That or he didn't kick me cuz it takes me like 3 months to level up from level 20 to 30...

 

well they're high level noobs thats for sure. if they'd want me kicked they are a noob seeing as any decent players/gd sports would let me partake

I really don't like Miami at all.....He always kicks me from his 'Low Level XP Game'.
