So I was going through old suggestions of mine and saw "Referral System". Now I feel like adding this to Steam would be amazing as it would encourage people to invite there friends to come and buy the game to play with them. They would most likely get a decent amount of gears. I would probably say like, 30 gears. Maybe 10 for the user who joined and says you referred them. I would say it would be for every 3 people that says that you referred them. (I would assume it would ask you who referred you towards the beginning of the game.) This way you can't just wait and say someone referred you even though they didn't.
A referral system here would actually work because SSL Steam is a paid game so people can't be creating accounts to refer themselves and abuse it.
