Reward for SSL2 forum members

Well, you would only be able to do it once, like how you can only cash in one account.

 

A better idea is that theres a button ingame that says LINK TO FORUMS or something and you put your forum username there. Then you get an alert here asking you to confirm it. The reason why this is better is because someone could abuse it and use your forum account with their account (or a new account they made) with the URL idea... unless you get that alert too like I said.

 

Yeah that sounds like a nice idea.

 

You could just reward them for making a certain amount of posts, instead of just making an account.

 

I would like to caution you all about this idea from my previous game forum experiences. We tried giving out a "reward" for new members, and then another award if they were actively posting. The problem we immediately ran into was people joining and spamming like crazy. Even the ones who didn't "spam", spammed. They would comment on multiple topics and would say something that pertained to the topic, but it was still not useful in any way. It made it unpleasant to read a thread because of the amount of useless comments.

 

The words "Heavy" and "Subtle" don't match...

 

Make ghost ads all over the screen so if you click on something it sends you to the forum in a new tab. I can't imagine that would ruin too many games. :3 haha


I think if you had a popup announcement thing on the main menu when you first make an account saying welcome to shellshock, check out the official shellshock community forum for tips, answers, etc. it would help out a lot with new members.

 

yeah you get a confirmation code only for your account and you get idk 1-10 tank coins or depends on thropy points
