Rims: Master Thread

I know but I just like to have them because I am a supporter of the game

 

Yes I agree, these rims are supposed to be seen as more of a donation in support of the game, but at 200$ I think it would be nice to get a little something for your donation, such as your rims being able to do something.

 

That is a good idea, but it is a difficult thing to decide what it should do. I have seen some suggestions but they seem a little...unfair.

 

Not really. Did you see Mark's and TheOnlyGod's suggestions? They seem really fair, especially for something that costs 2000 or 500 tank coins.

 

Contrary to popular belief, Rims do not cost 50$ and 200$. If you buy the starter pack, and use the most efficient methods of buying coins, Chrome is only about 30$ and gold is only about 130$.
Still very expensive though, it would be nice to get something(anything, really) for owning them. But nothing that would cancel out the cost of the rims, though.

 

A good idea would be chrome adds +1 to all your stats (Armour, traction, fuel, luck)
And gold adds +3 to all your stats

 

Bad idea for those who have full stats.

 

Well it wouldn't have to max out at 20. They could just add 1 or 3 to your stats. So if you had 20 on all you would then have 21 or 23.

 

I really don't like this idea of adding more stats, you know? :s

 

I say that rims should have no benefits whatsoever. They're meant to be something near-to-useless anyways, so let's keep them that way.

 

Ya I guess thats fine, but If kChamp wants people to buy the rims he would make them actually do something.

 

I guess, but it would have to be quite big. And that would ruin the whole point of rims.

 

Ya I guess so, I think rims should at least show up really nice in the lobby.

 

Ooh, that's an idea. Maybe a special circle around the level, like deluxe. Or maybe your name could be a different colour.

It's a subtle attempt to say something not-so-subtle.

 

Yeah. If it's a vanity item, then the benefits that go along with it should be to do with looks only. So no stat boosts, etc. etc.

 

How about a rainbow colored rims...and it would change color every time your tank moved

How many Gold and how many Chrome rims were there?

 

Gold and silver color blind, that's a new one. ( 3 silver, 2 gold)
