Weekly Tourneys anyone?

Just wanted to know how you guys would feel about weekly tournaments after the CB (Clan Battle) is over... Of course there would be no prize other than fame (no fortune).
Maybe add a trophy worth say 10 points to the winner (EX: Winner of Weekly Tourney #1 - 10 Trophy Points). Maybe we could have like three hosts (different depending on the last weeks winner) where they choose the map, mode, turns, everything. Level restriction.. Anything you want.

Just wanted to hear what you guys thought about this :b

EDIT: Bans on certain players as well, since you don't want someone getting 45639586940 wins or whatever.
And if you did add the trophy points, than that would also be a major thing to add.

If you signup and can't make it then too bad you signed up and you wont participate.
Too long? maximum number should be 10-11 people (1v1,1v1,1v1,1v1,1v1,1vBY - the winners - 1v1,1v1,1vBY (not the same person will get a BY) - winners semi finals - 1v1,1vBY, and then the finals 1v1 xD Nobody will get a BY every damn time though obviously.. It's not bot randomized - made by people.. Of course it can all be setup differently...)
Still, idk how these will be "too long."

 

Because, some people can't get online when then opponent is. It can take up to a week for them to have 1 match.

 

I just said 1 day kind of thing.... You sign up the day it is happening.

 

What if they don't get filled in 1 day? I mean, they could, but what if it doesn't happen? And still, what if they can't have their battle? They could sign up, and have to leave.

I believe he means the tournaments will last all week long, however, you have to sign up on a specific day. Which happens to be Saturday.

I had an idea of something like this, being a tour style competition derived from the ATP Tennis system. My idea would be a series of tournaments which would ultimately result in a sort of leaderboard based off of points. However the leaderboard would require "defending" the points you already have, such as one does in the ATP Tennis system.

 

No, you sign up Saturday you play Saturday.
It's on a specific day so nobody will forget it or miss it, always be prepared to sign up.

 

I suppose rapid fire tourny's could work. Though the players who entered would all have to be reliable and know they are very active in whatever day.

So it's just a suggestion, and it's meant to be fun and quick.
More battling and meeting people on the forums and stuff, so you can start a conversation faster
I guess you wouldn't have to call it a tourney, but something reasonable.

 

Perhaps it could be the "Weekly Brawl" or somesuch. I'm starting to warm up to this idea.

 

Okay, I can see that working. BUT, not every time the list of people will be filled. Well, we will see. I think this deserves a try.

In order for this to work we would have to get people who live in only certain time zones.

Yes, but it would difficult to have one person who is only available when it is the middle of the night for the other person.

 

There could be same timezones, but some people can wake up in the night instead of the morning as late birds... .-.

 

Maybe Friday night so they can stay up a little later for the tourney?

 

I think if everyone lived in the same area plus had the same schedules this would be no problem. Because that's almost impossible its hard to hard a tourney to begin with. Anyone can signup but showing up is the funny part.
Also without any actual reward besides temporary bragging rights its nothing more than a time waster.
